"Freaks and Geeks" is back on television for the first time in eight years on G4!

Share your thoughts on the show and if you have G4 on cable, I suggest you watch it because it is one of the best shows that you will ever see. If you already have the DVD set like I have, that's fine too.

I have the boxed set. I grew up near where this fictional town is theoretically set (which is to say I grew up near the writer) and was in highschool during the time frame that it is set. It gets the time and place 100% accurate. It also has the most realistic highschool student characters of any TV show I've ever seen. They seem so real that I can almost do 1-to1 mapping of the characters to people I actually knew in highschool. This was an amazing TV show and the writer's and director's love for the characters really shines through.

I have the DVD set. It is hands down the best television series I've ever seen.

If you like Freaks and Geeks, you will love a movie out at the moment called Adventureland. It is very much like a spiritual movie successor of the series, directed and written by Greg Mottola who was a writer of the show. Also set in the 1980s, with accompanying '80s soundtrack, with the trademark excellent dialogue and characterisation, it also happens to have Martin Starr in a supporting role. It is one of the best films of the year so far, and it seems nobody has seen it.
