why do they always go out of their way, to invent a new OS for nearly every movie?

i especially love the ones cops use, w the sound effects.
i love that, they click a window, and it says "bleep!" and then they zoom in, and it says "brrrreeeeeep!"

i also like the big for-dummies messages, like, if theyre scanning, it says "SCANNING" with huge red letters, sometimes it says "ALMOST DONE" and then "DONE SCANNING"

facial recognition scans filter through tens of thousands of faces in, well, usually under two seconds, and always ends up on a 100% conclusive match. i want that program.

oh, not to mention when they add millions of new pixels to a blurry photo! MAN i love when they do that! i also saw a movie where they used a computer to see what was behind an obscuring object. they were like "that box, can you do something about that?" "sure" *tapptappetytappetytap* (they never use the mouse and click, because real geeks do everything on the keyboard.)

besides, what are they typing? one would imagine that such an action required maybe a couple of button hits (why not mouse clicks?)
"h-e-y c-o-m-p-u-t-e-r-, i-t-s m-e-. c-a-n y-o-u l-e-t m-e s-e-e b-e-h-i-n-d t-h-a-t d-u-m-p-s-t-e-r p-l-e-a-s-e-?"

classics:

1. in enemy of the state: they manage to do a 3D rotation inside a room, based on security cameras. yes. they used what 50 cameras to make an effect that supposedly one camera in the movie pulled off. hah!

2. independence day: virus compatible w alien computer systems. gif animation compatible w alien computer systems. WAV FILE compatible w alien computer systems. also, i imagine the ones developing the virus, being all "its done! now infect the aliens computers with it! we have no time to spare!"
"hm... i dunno... no, make a gif-animation to go with it. of a laughing skull."
"BUT... WE ONLY HAVE HOURS TO - "
"make a gif animation i said! oh, and record an audio file w an evil laugh."
"but thats gonna take - "
"I SAID DO IT!! !"

any other giggly examples?

How about Star Trek? Especially TNG and VOY. It's supposed to be this highly computerized starship. You know, automated. But you see people pressing buttons constantly, probably to make the show more interesting. Seriously, what do all those buttons do?!

the first one I remember was Blade Runner, where they take an old pic and see what's behind a wall.
