Watching Hell's Kitchen, I find it interesting how people get eliminated on the show...always because their inability to do the job becomes the issue that leads to being let off the show.

Ben is on this season. He comes across as intelligent and very creative, but a bit full of himself and his ability (which is what I think will largely cost him in the end).

Routinely, when things get hectic during dinner service, I notice that he either keeps it together or seems to shut down to the point as if he has his head in the clouds. He is very talkative, missing the cue to shut up (or at least keep it brief), but he seems to largely get along with the other contestants, but being that they are all chefs, I suppose they share a common interest which helps compensate.

Anyone else have thoughts on this guy. I feel sorry for him because if he has AS and doesn't know it, he doesn't see how his inability to hold it together when things get crazy is costing him his dream of being an executive chef. He does have creative talent and ability, but he seems to do best when the stress levels stay at a level he's accustomed to coping with.

I felt bad for him when Gordon's bald sous chef yelled at him for suddenly working the pass when Gordon took a break. The sous chef didn't have to yell so inhumanly at him like that. If it was me being yelled at like that so roughly, I would've snapped, grabbed a large knife, and stuck it in the sous chef's ribs.

It's no wonder Ben wanted to quit soon after but Gordon talked him out of it. I would've been in jail.
