Sheer brilliance, but I think the majority of the humour goes over most peoples heads.

There is a Family Guy episode where Bill Lumberg 'goes ahead' and makes a cameo appearance, 'alright'.

Do TPS reports dream of red staplers? I think they do.

I saw this for the first time a while back. Loved it and I'd go so far as to say that it's a classic.

Like the soundtrack, too-the beatdown on the fax machine is one of my fave scenes. Have watched the film a few times & I expect to watch it again.

Love Office Space, even though I don't work.

Mike Judge is awesome. I'm trying to go to his Animation Show at the end of this month.

Absolutely love Office Space. Very very funny! I work in IT and have experienced just about every scene in that movie in real life. I've had several Lumberg-type bosses, been laid off, had to deal with the office 'printer from hell' (never kidnapped and beat it up with a baseball bat though), lived in crappy apartments with thin walls, had mindless programming assignments where I did about 30 minutes of actual work a day, and I could go on and on.

By the way, Office Space was filmed here in Austin and Mike Judge, the writer/director, lives here. The Chotchkie’s scenes were shot at a cajun restaurant near my house called the Alligator Grill. They would shoot early in the morning, then clear out and the restaurant would open as normal for lunch and dinner.

I would say that the guy in it (melvin i think his name is) who keeps getting his stapler taken by lumberg is very aspergerish. Just my 1 1/2 cents though.

Has anyone seen Mike Judge's new film, "Idiocracy"? It was just released on DVD. Fox barely gave it any theatrical release because the film makes fun of Fox, among other companies. I rented it and found it to be pretty damn great. My brother said it was "no Office Space," but I think in some ways it's better, even if it's not nearly as quotable.

Basically, it starts off a little bit like Futurama: a guy gets frozen and wakes up in the future. It seems that by the year 3000 or whenever he wakes up, humanity has devolved so much that though this guy was a pretty simple average Joe in his time, by now he's by far the smartest man on Earth. Silliness and sharp social commentary ensues.
