Has anyone seen it? I saw it (in French) and liked it. Nice depiction of the horrors which can follow a revolution. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

Yes, I thought it was really well done. I think it should be mandatory watching for all American children, so they don't grow up thinking that everyone that lives under dictatorships and totalitarian regimes should be bombed. Scary how many people think that Iran, and everyone in it, should just be wiped off the map.

If Osama bin Laden had been Shi'a, we'd be in a whole lot worse state than we are...

The Persians who'm I know love the west and everything to do with it. Modern Persian, in fact, is heavily influenced by French.

Peace.

Its the misguided concept that the people of a totalitarian regime have any control over their government or its actions. The "dogs of war" concept is much more effective. Fast, efficient regime change, leading to an adjustment in local and then national policy. There is no real reason to carpet bomb whole areas. (Though to be fair, you have to wonder about the people who use civilians as meat-shields in the first place. Which is lower?)

If they're influenced by the French, that could explain the hostility...;)

I picked up 'Iran for Dummies', have to check that out later...;).

I have both the graphic novel and film, both are good, though the book has more detail(story-wise).
