Hi Jen,

Welcome to WP :D

Your post is very...cheery haha. It's nice to see someone who doesn't spend their whole introduction post moaning and groaning about their life. [not that it isn't wanted...the haven is a good place for that haha].
I hope you enjoy posting here.

Hello Jen,

Welcome to WP!

WP has been fantastic to my family and me in the last year. I have had 2 of my 3 sons diagnosed with Asperger's in the last 12 months (aged 9 and 7), realised my husband has Asperger's, and strongly suspect my 4 year old probably has Asperger's.

The fantastic friendship and advice I have had in the last 12 months has helped enormously.

Regards
Helen

Hi Jen!
It is nice to meet you. I am also new to Wrong Planet and I am thrilled that there are people here that my son and I can talk to that understand what we have gone through, and help us as we continue to learn about AS.

Thanks for you insight Jen. That was VERY helpful and now know I'm heading in the right direction. May daughter is only 11, she is only now noticing she is unique. The past 2 years have been rough on her as their 4 girls in her class using her as a pawn.

The statement I made may be a bit confusing, "She lacks the following symptoms...." should read "she had normal early child hood development, including...."

Thanks again for your response, greatly appreciated.

Regards, John

You are quite welcome John and I am so glad I could help :D I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's difficulties :( I used to have a horrible time in school and with other girls, especially at her age. They tend to single out the oddball so to speak

You did not confuse me so no worries, I knew exactly what you meant. Please contact me at any time should you have any other questions or if I can help you out in any way.

Take care,
Jen
