Oh, I didn't know that. I thought it was only spelt that way if you were Norwegian.

My favourite composer is Bach and I also enjoy Alain and Messiaen. Modern works are such fun to learn and play. Composer, make your symphony playable musical children aged 8-13 - please!!

Welcome to Wrong Planet, Composer! It is great to see an increasing number of people at Wrong Planet who love classical music.

I am a huge fan & supporter of the classical / orchestral styles, ranging all the way from early music, to Baroque, true "Classical," Romantic, and some contemporary works. I have many favorite composers... too many to count.

I, too, and among those people who can hear music in my head, and "compose" pieces in my mind... now I just wish I could get better educated in music theory and composition.
I hope to hear your work soon, and the best of luck to you in this endeavour.

I've just seen this. The County Orchestra in which I play regularly plays symphonies - for instance, we've recently done Mahler 1, Sibelius 5 and Dvorak's Symphony 'From the New World' so if yours is of roughly the same difficulty or even a little more difficult, I'm sure we could give it a go if you'd be happy for that to happen ...
