My name is John. I'm 13 years old, as of right now.


I like Pokemon, so I have started a Pokemon forum at http://s8.invisionfree.com/Devon_Corporation/! Can you give me ideas on how to get members to my forum? I am not having much luck right now. My screen name at my forum is Devon Corporation USA.

I am interested in freeways and I would like to start a site with pictures of freeways. I like maps, computers, swimming, and drawing.

This is a good site.

Here's some ideas that have worked for us here at WrongPlanet.net (we only launched this last Friday).

• Put meta tags in the headers and optimize for search engines.
• Use a submission tool on the web to submit to search engines
• Send emails to similar sites asking them to link to you. Offer to link to them in return.
• Use existing forums to get visitors to your forum, and be sure to put a link in your signature on those forums.
• Tell a lot of people, and encourage them to tell people.
• For forums, it's best to try to start a few ice breaker topics so that when people come in, they've already got some stuff to respond to and don't have to think up a topic and post it (which they probably wouldn't want to do anyway).
• Join webrings.

Thank you for helping me to find ways to get traffic to my forum. I'll try everthing I can to get people to register.

What are some good ice breaker questions?
Also, whats some good keywords and how to do the Meta tags?

No, I don't. As of now that's all I have. In the future I might be planning something different.

What is a good icebreaker question? Well seing as you will be talking about pokemon, wouldn't a "Which is your favorite and why?" thread be apropriate?
But really, if you have such an interest in pokemon that you started your own forum, you should know better than I what other pokefans like to discuss.
I used to really love pokemon, back when there were only 151 of them... Ninetails is my favorite, Charizard a close second.
