Hi I am new here. I am neuro-typical with a 9 year old AS-son. He is a great kid! And of course he is a handfull. We're working to get him help, so life may get a little easier for him.
My goal here is to get him on the kids forum and learn how to communicate a little better, and maybe to find a cyberfriend. Hopefully this will help him with finding real life friends.

Thanks for the welcome. And I have to say, it baffles me daily how different his point of view/perception of things really is. I have learned never to jump to conclusions about things he does to others, usually it stems from a misunderstanding/misreading.

The kids on kids crater are great. My 8 yo is on there. When he gets time. right now he lets school work take alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day. seriously, all day. so he only gets time on the weekends.

The Parents forum is another great place for advice & support. It makes you feel good that you aren't the only parent out there experiencing the wonderful ups & downs of AS. It also really lifts you up that you aren't a bad parent, it's just part of AS.
