I am sorry to hear that you lost your friend.

I wanted one soooo badly as a child, but my mum said they had salmonella.

I wish anyone who has had a stroke, a full recovery.

Thanks. It is a very complex subject. I suffered 4 regions of damage. The first was in my brain (lost my knowledge of words). The second was in the back of my skull. I lost right side vision. The third was inside my eyes, the third layer down which is all liquid. It turned into a jell. The fourth was on the surface of my eyes. It felt like slivers of glass on my eyes when I tried to look. It was very painful. But I am making progress. One of the important things to understand, is that recovery from a stroke does not end within the first 6 months. It is not time limited.

Yeah, I imagine it may takes several years to recover from a stroke and a full recovery might not even be possible. Stay strong!

For clarification, he was my life partner, my other half, husband in all but legal paperwork.
I didn't lose a friend. I lost half of my heart, soul, and meaning in life.
