Nice to meet you. I'm Natan, 35, from Israel, born with Atypical Autism - basically, its a neurodevelopmental disorder which is similar to asperger syndrome, but with a few diffferences. When I grew up, I learned better social skills and I'm mostly a normal person today.

I found this site through a friedn who also has autism spectrum disorder.

Can you please tell me a little about the site, are all the people here have a type of Autism, or there are also normal, healthy people here as well?

Do you guys take medications regularly? If yes, which ones? I personally take antidepressants and benzodiazepines.

Natan123, Welcome to Wrong Planet.

You asked several questions so I will try and answer them. First of all, I have a condition known as Asperger's Syndrome or I am an Aspie for short.

Generally I do not take medication for this condition. I didn't even know I had the condition until around 5 years ago. I am age 76. There was always something odd about me, but I did my best to overcome all problems.

You asked, "Can you please tell me a little about the site, are all the people here have a type of Autism, or there are also normal, healthy people here as well?"
This site has been around for a very long time. I do not know when it began. Most people on the site have a variety of types of Autism. Some are Aspies but there is a wide range of individuals on this site.

You asked, "Do you guys take medications regularly? If yes, which ones? I personally take antidepressants and benzodiazepines."
Generally, I stay away from drugs for this condition. I have a great skill set and drugs can potentially destroy my strengths. But I do take one vitamin, a very strange type of supplement called "Cellular Health" by Juvenon. I have been taking it for over 20 years, well before I knew I had Asperger's Syndrome. I found it to be extremely helpful. The supplement consists of 1,000 mg of Acetyl L-Carnitine HCI and 400 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid.

I take half a dozen medications for my body rather than my mind.

I have some anxiety but not enough to justify going on meds for that.
I find it helpful to go shopping and buy stuff. :D
Often known as retail therapy.

Check the bottom of the landing page. I think you could summarize it as this site is for neurodiverse people and people interested in neurdiversity—polite people.

I think it was originally for Autistics, but branched out.

Autistic people can be considered healthy, too, depending on the individual.

There are a lot of people who have autism who have co-morbid mental illness, so it wouldn't surprise me if a sizeable portion of users here currently take similar or the same medications as you have specified.
