Still finding my way around, but I hope to get my son to sign up, he's 22 and is not officially diagnoised (never could spell) his doctor had read up on AS and is pretty sure he is a mild case(although how mild is mild?), and having read up on it myself am sure he is to. He also knows himself that he is different. We are in New Zealand, and his teachers knew there was something different, but did nothing about it. I think I must be a bit to. Would love to hear from anyone as my son is going through a real rough patch, he job hunting, no fixed abode and stressed out to the max, but we support him to max anyway we can. I think it would be good for him to have contact with others who knows how he is.

Hi welcome to you and your son. There is a forum that focuses on job related issues, and there is some advice for aspies and finding jobs. There is such a rich resource of people here at WP most likely there will be someone you can connect with.

We are about 3 hours drive on State highway 1 heading north, up by Mount Ruapheu, waiouru is the military camp in the central North island. Have you made contact with many others from New Zealand?

Hmm, Army Camp? I found that the Black Gates bits in Return of the Kng were filmed there!

They also filmed Lord of the rings up here too, quite a few of the soliders were used as extras in the filming. Do you work?

Nah. I got that from the Extended DVD.
