A good friend posted a note on the daily strength board recommending me to here, and at age 52 I am a newly discovered and in shock aspie. Aspergers with high functioning but it has caused me a lifetime of trouble in job and career. At this age it is very hard to uncover this and made major major life modifications, technically coming to terms with 50 years of damage. I am also currently unemployed and embarking slowly on a new career, outside computer consulting instead of corporate in-house work. My corporate in-house career, by the way, landed me a job in 1998 with Aon group in Manhattan - lovely office, view, from the 101st floor of the South Tower............and yes, I am a World Trade Center survivor too.

Bob - just want you to know that you're far from being the oldest here.

I'm 61 and I know I'm not the oldest either.

But my own full recognition of my nature - call it Asperger's or whatever you want, occured just about 9-10 yrs ago - when I was 52.

61 and discovered in the last year.

eddiedog8 was born in 1998, he is one of the smartest people here, pure tech.

It may all be caused by computers, please keep an open mind.

We all seem to work with them or on them. We may just be Cybermorphs.
