oh, oh, Postie, good news! They were working with the Aztec calendar and was looking at when it started, rather than when it was going to end. Thanks I hadn't heard that much detail. Yeah I knew it wasn't necessarily the end of it, yet some aren't so sure, that bit about the line up, well ya never know, but the last bit you put "Just the world as we know it.", yeah I really knew that part. Shock and Awe was what I was shootin for.
And I do hope I make that far, I can't wait to see the fire works, gotta be cool. I do so much like splosions, ya know. I've heard some were predicting it was meaning an ecological disaster, now that's pretty damn good, considering the mess we're in, from that past distance.
Yeah science is cool, but we sure don't have all the answers. I'm not so sure we have all the questions yet.

Now normally you'd owe me for a spew on that one, but since I hadn't opened my soda yet, I just laughed spit all over the freakin monitor. So you still owe me for a keyboard/ monitor clean up, it just won't be a sticky. You'd still better wear gloves.

That Free Rice site is cool! It says my vocab is Level 49 (out of a possible 55) and my best level is 53.
I just donated 18,000 grains, go me! 
Edit: Sam, I own a DS and the Brain Training and More Brain Training games, and they are fun to play. It's been several weeks since I've picked up my DS, though, and I shudder to think what sort of score I'll get next time I play!

I mean I have been dutifully embracing Aspiehood, we have all identified and talked about what a relief it was to know after all those years, and learning and studying and coping and in one second. . one milisecond, all that was gone in a flash of 'hey, maybe I am not an Aspie, after all.'

Oh, I know that feeling well. I think it may be like that whenever a person has seen themselves one way for many years and that self-image or idea is altered by anything. That would include an alcoholics sobriety. They are defined by the alcohol and then that's changed. There are times when one simply forgets and like you said, it's like a burden has been lifted. I have been living with "knowing" I have Crohn's disease for 23 years. I've had 8 surgeries and have had an ileostomy for 14 years. I STILL have times when I momentarily forget that I have been altered from what I thought I was. I go about doing what all the "normal" people are doing, seeing myself the way I did before I was diagnosed and suddenly reality will re-enter my thoughts and even though I don't mind how I am now, it is almost a let-down. And there is still a part of me that wants to argue with myself about whether I'm really ill or not.
I'm certain that if I was to be diagnosed with Asperger's it would be the same.
Really, Merle, you are still the same person you were before you started seeing yourself as an Aspie. I think that you will find that as you become more used to having Asperger's, you will find those moments happen more and more because the label will become more comfortable, like an old comfortable shirt that you can forget you're wearing because it is no longer stiff or itchy or scratchy.

Woke up this morning, got my foot caught in the sheets getting out of bed. Having to lie back down, clench my teeth to carefully work my leg and foot out of the sheets before I was able to get up made me laugh because

Ive been fascinated by the 2012 thing since I was a little child and figured up how old I would be and everything. (48 doesn't sound as "ancient" now) Ive also read about the date being the 21st of Dec at 11:11 (have only heard the time mentioned in one book and it didnt specify am or pm ) But have heard the date of 21 Dec multiple times
Lots of speculation on "How"... the earths magnetic field which shields us from radiation is developing a mysterious crack even as I type. supervolcano under Yellowstone which translates to nuclear winter, peak in the sunspot cycle in 2012, solar system in an energetically hostile part of the galaxy. The list goes on...magnetic reversal of the poles, nuclear war...
"End of the world as we know it" is the best we can hope for according to them.("Them" being the Mayan Shamans)
Part of me thinks they might have just "found the extra line" to hold down "Mass Hysteria" The other part wants to believe we'll have a paradigm shift and the world will be a better place. Which is the most likly to happen?

No, not in my town. They are going to big water adventure place here. Finished in some year. but no nice pools and such.. I have an aquarium and two cute panda bears!

You're welcome! I have played it on the DS and I find that it has helped my ability to focus and remember day-to-day things. One of my kids teachers recommended it when she heard that I have ADHD. I'm sure she was only trying to get me to remember to send lil girl's library books back on time.
Canada, or my part of the country was weirder than weird today. We started out with snow, which melted by 11am. The sun was shining and it had warmed up. I went for a walk at 12:30pm and by the time I got back at 1, the wind had started to howl and we had a half hour thunder storm followed by 20 minutes of half inch hail. Within about a half hour the sun was peaking out and before we knew it, the snow was coming down like crazy again.
They always say when you come here that if you don't like the weather you should just wait a minute and it will change but this was ridiculous.Everything else is just same old, same old.
And is work better now that you have the Transition lenses in your glasses? I would think it would help immensely.
They help a little.
My, it sounds like you've had all four seasons in one day.

Awwwww... they are sweet little pandas. I have 2 also. I believe they are living on my daughter's bed at the moment. I also have two white and black dogs who are lovely but not as cute as pandas.
I could move the aquarium from my living room into the cafe if that would make you happy. You would have to share it with 6 tetras, an angelfish and a black plecostomus but they all seem friendly enough.
