Well, we'll take the camera, of course. We're booked at the Bug (the old, trasmogrified Hippie place) near Yosemite for part of the week. No phones or tv there, but we'll be in Yosemite all day those days so we won't need phones or tvs. Just a shower and a place to crash for the nights. Am waiting on a callback from a place on the Lost Coast, up in the Redwoods. Looks perfect. Three days of no stress. Also no phones or tvs in the rooms, but they have coast access, the trees are near, and they've got a resident cat and a llama. Sounds good to me.
Not sure, but I think they said they had wireless internet, but we may not take the laptop - no reason to. SOOOO, if we take the laptop, we'll upload some pix. Otherwise, we'll be technology-less for a week.
Which, when you think about it, is not a bad thing.
This is gonna be SO nice.
Of coarse it's not a bad thing. That translates into some nice peace and quiet.
That's why I enjoy the evenings where we have dinner without the Diamondbacks game on.

Llamas are notorious for spitting. and it is particularly nasty spit, too
Very interesting and( somewhat disgusting) but very edifying pictures and commentary of a llama spitting don't miss the quick time movies of llama spitting. . be prepared!

Speaking of little Blaze. He just got suspended from kindergarten for one day. Why? He tried to moon one of his classmates that was bugging him. It was only a "half moon" and before it became a full moon he was carted off to the priniciple's office. My daughter was called to come and take him home immediately. The principle, Dr. Goldy was very disturbed by the whole thing. Kind of makes you wonder why he/they reacted in such a way. He said to my daughter who had been through similar (if not exact) incidents with her other 4 boys and did not seem sufficiently shocked or distraught when she arrived to pick up Blaze, (she may even have appeared to be amused), (imagine deep, gruff, authoritative voice of Dr. Goldy making it even more amusing), "Mrs. K, this is a very serious matter. We can not tolerate this kind of behavior. This is very disturbing. We must act quickly on this kind of thing. I have no choice but to suspend your grandson for a day. He may come back on Tuesday." My daughter said "Well he's not coming back on Tuesday. He's going to the art museum. He'll be back on Wednesday. I think it's ridiculous to suspend a 6 yr old anyway. He's going to love it so your really only rewarding him." Blazes father was suspended for the same thing when he was in kindergarten. It runs in the family.
Like Asperger's.
So yes, Lemon. You can be my grandchild in your next life. But you must promise not to pull your panties down and moon your classmates.
Generation to generation is one thing, but we can't have that sort of thing passing from life time to life time.

I think the most pathetically amusing part of it all was the part in the news yesterday where the kid who was being booked asked the FBI agent if him being busted as part of this would have a negative impact on his future career as a federal law enforcement officer. (no, really. he actually asked.) So much for that masters in homeland security!
