I wonder. How do you bait breath, is the bait specific to Chuck, and how will you catch him once he turns?

My questions are for research purposes only.

I would hazard a guess that one would be in the 17th century:
OED wrote:
a1650 CRASHAW Poems (1858) 117 And with some daring drug, Bait the disease.
which would explain the stealth too:
OED wrote:
1625 B. JONSON Staple of N. II. iv, Where's Madrigall? Is he sneek'd hence?
although, I'm not sure what constituted a "Power Bar" in that period.

Chuck flies apterously in, which is to say, face-plants a poison ivy patch. Flying too close to the sun, tempting 17th century fate with beeswax wings, he catches a whiff of Power Bar, and returns to present time encased in wax drippings. Safe from the oils of poison ivy, he finds he cannot get up. "Dangeth! Will have to wait for the molt!"

Suddenly, his leg begins to itch, and he sees that the wax has not covered it. And he cannot bend to scratch it. 8O "Double dangeth!! ! Ah, life!! ! Thou art pain and playmate! 'Twere I not so deserving of this fate, I wouldst complaineth. Eth."

Exactly so!! ! In my dream as a reincarnated Ouija board, I spent my time ratting on the crystal ball. Which reduced my own credibility, and no one believed anything I said! So.... yet another wasted lifetime. *SIGH*

Live a lifetime, learn a lesson.

Good thing I live several in my dreams. Perhaps I shall come back one day as sidewalk chalk.

8O

Exactly as I would have thought.

Now, if the missing Three give you the Five, there were originally Two who left the home of the Thirteenth to search for the missing Three, and Eight stayed (someone had to do the laundry). So for a time the home of the Thirteenth was the home of the Tenth, and then of the Eighth, until all were found and all was well, and until it was discovered that Kara Thrace would lead them all to their death - so they would have been better off having been satisfied with being the home of the Twelfth, less a harbinger of death.
It would appear. I think. 8O

Now let me ask you:
In my attempt to fly to the sun, I stood atop a ten foot platform, from which to leap and gain some soaring altitude. Standing at platform edge in fear, my wax wings melted - so that was as close as I ever got (prior to falling off).

So, was this a valiant attempt, or a dismal failure? Where does one draw the line in this distinction?

Had I attached wax wings to a Valiant and driven off the platform,
Image

... would my performance have been made more valiant?
(just for future reference)

Lemon checked in, telling us that part time job she had turned into a full time job.

Australian study finds that tall women have a higher cancer risk due to melanoma:

Well, duh! They are closer to the sun.

Perhaps tall women should walk stooped, or on all fours. I'm wondering how short women on stilts fare.

3. As exemplified by Icarus, an early pioneer of flight. According to Faquarl, who admittedly wasn't the most reliable of sources, the Greek magician Daedalus constructed a pair of magical wings, each one housing a short-tempered foliot. These wings were tested by Icarus, a fey and facetious youth, who made cheap remarks at the foliots' expense while at several thousand feet above the Aegean. In protest, they loosed their feathers one by one, sending Icarus and his witticisms plummeting to a watery grave.

For my 1,000 post, I figured I would come by and thank you all for making me feel so welcome here *kisses*

I love all of you as friends.

Now, to celebrate my 1,000th post, I figured I would do something I have never done on WP, and that is post a picture of myself.

This, for all of my friends here, is a picture of me.

There you go.
