Good luck! 8O
The thought police actually have struck and thieved my last remaining thought it seems. A friend of mine asked me to create a logo for his business today, gave me a rough idea of what he wanted, and I have sat here all day staring at a blank sheet of paper with no logo thoughts in my head. I can see pictures on the paper, but none of them are related to anything he wanted.

This is why I knew I could never work as a paid artist. I cannot just make myself draw what someone else wants. All I can do is what I "see". I will have to wait until I am retired, and can then do whatever I do as it flows - without worrying if it will sell or please or not. I'll just do it, and people can have it or buy it as they wish.

What he wants is simple, including a triangle and a circle, and what I am seeing are dragons made of flames and water. Maybe I'll just do what I see, and tell him I misunderstood his concept?    How the heck does one explain dragons made of flames and water, when what someone else requests is a circle and a triangle?!? I can make them into a circle and a triangle, but he never mentioned dragons at all.

Its either that, or the beautiful Japanese woman I see sitting in a moonlit room - all you can see is a portion of her back with it's tattoo dragon - and it isn't a circle or a triangle.

(I just glanced quickly at the paper to see if circles and triangles might have appeared while I wasn't looking. Two dragons are staring right back. *SIGH*).

Ah, well. Dragons it is! Maybe he'll like his dragon logo! (Yeah, right.)  I hope his business is fortune cookies or martial arts. Won't make much sense if his business is "The Circle and Triangle Store". (I may as well draw them. I think they are with me until I bring them out.)

How about the dragon is an ancient symbol of the Sun (a circle) .This must be where the
beautiful Japanese woman comes in,from the Land Of The Rising Sun.
The triangle represents a pyramid. The pyramid is often seen alongside an 'all-seeing eye'
as in Dollar notes. The all-seeing eye is said by some to be of reptilian (dragon-like) nature,
representing the hybrid reptilian-human beings who originated on Mars and whose agenda is to control the Earth and create the New World Order.
Oops,I think I got a little carried away there. Bit far-fetched.

Hahahahaha! Oh, my! I've laughed 'til I hurt!

...and yet, its waaaaaay better than what I've come up with! At least yours has a triangle and egg-like circle!
...and its not such a bad logo at that - kind of grabs your attention, doesn't it?

Thanks Lau!! !! ! :D I'll see what he thinks.

Last week we made a little over 95% of our quota so we got a $40.00 bonus..
This week we did 100% and have a few more banked for next week, so now I can
expect an additional $80.00 to my pay...Image....Yippee!! !! !
Heads for the chocolate Hot-Tub to soak his weary bones...

I was moved from shipping to the production line. If we make a certain amount of windows per week depending on availability of materials and other factors we get bonuses.
One dollar an hour added to base pay if we make 95% of our quota within normal working hours and two dollars an hour added if we make the full 100%. Overtime production does not count.

I wandered away from the cafe, which I don't often do. I find other parts of this site interesting, but I'm not too sure if I participate well with others. Gonna hafta take it slow. It will probably help if I keep my comments largely to myself, and try not to write such verbose posts when away from the cafe. (I went years without uttering a word. Who knew I had such a big mouth?! 8O ) Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Hehehe. Chuck.

I've been participating/watching in that thread. Your only mistake was thinking that the person you were talking to, was listening.

I think you'll find that were a lot of people standing on the sidelines, cheering you on. :)

I don't wander far from the Café myself these days, Chuck. Signal-to-noise ratio too low; makes my brain tired. But, being unable to conceive of what you might have said that could possibly have put someone's nose out of joint, I went in search.

Good grief, Chuck, you've said nothing for which you need to apologise!

Well, sometimes I try not to. I even sometimes wonder where they get their crazy ideas.

Wish I could say the same for them. :)

And as for going to see the website linked by 11krage in the OP...

http://stateofboxing.com/Donations.html

... I enjoy a good laugh as much as the next person, but I think I'll find other things to do with my time.

Think I will follow your lead. I had this crazy idea that I ought to get out of the cafe and give some support to the young'uns. They'll do just fine without me. :D

Maybe I'll wander out now and again just to say hello to those first arriving. Thanks for the feedback and support! :D

A Class C misdemeanor in Texas? He said he bet I knew that. I didn't know that. Did you know that?

It's a government cover up and they always blame the whistle blowers. Why? I don't know, but RUN!!

I would stay far away from Alaska if you're looking for cold climates. No, not because of Mount Redoubt, but because of Sarah Palin. It's true. Trust me. I read about it.

Mount Redoubt WebCam

Sarah Palin in a happy moment. Aww, ain't that baby cute?
