By the bye, some of you might recall that a while back I cited one of my favorite battle cries. I finally ran across its etymology, deep in the Looking For Group archives!

For Pony!!

Jon, you are a truly strange and wonderful person.

Not that I've been all that gabby lately anyway :) , but I'm going to take a break from active posting until some family business is sorted out. My mother-in-law has been ill, and may need to go into assisted care soon, and I won't be able to spend as much time online as I'd like.

Jon, thanks for the link to Looking for Group. Richard is a hoot! :D

Thanks for the message, Linda. I have often thought that if people just stopped posting, we would never know what happened to them . . .

Merle, I hoped that video was a parody, but in a world that contains Bill O'Reilly, I thought I better check.

In terms of the caring aspect of empathy, a lively discussion that would seem to support the Markrams’ theory appeared on the Web site for people with ASD called WrongPlanet.net, after a mother wrote in to ask whether her empathetic but socially immature daughter could possibly have Asperger’s.

Hi everyone ...long time..no type!
I'v been offline for the last 2 months, and we moved into a much nicer place.
Back in Dec. I began a fight with the school district on behalf of my mini-reika to get her moved to a better school and WON ! Without a lawyer. It was easy, her teacher handed her a butter knife and we ended up in the ER after she sliced her hand open. Needless to say I kept her home and we spent our days at the gym. She finally went back to school the week before spring break so my days have been full. I'v missed you all (especially you Merle :D )
The bike riding has been spectacular thus far on the coastal trail this spring and I'm getting ready to get on a plane and go to portland for a day. I abhor flying and this will be the first time I'v ever left the Mini-Reika. I'm excited but apprehensive.
Anyway...the reason I decided to write was to agree with the previous posts. That's why I gave up nursing as my major years ago. It was just TOO horrible for me to endure someone else's pain and suffering. I could not detach from it unfortunately and it ruined me. I had a 4.0 gpa too, but I just could't take it. We all found out very quickly that while my blood was fine with me, seeing someone else's blood or suffering was unbearable for me on many levels.
anyway....hi again and i have a lot of reading to catch up on.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here on the front porch of insanity.
As I was sitting back in my rocking chair, while reading my favorite thread,
I cold no longer just peek over my glasses and grin. (while chiking on my teeth)
So I got up, out of the rocker and onto the walker, shuffled across the room
And now, after pulleing up my diapers and taking a big swig of geritol,
I've decided to go ahead and speak my mind about this hog wash

I would like to know if this the same genious group who discovered that the bowling ball is round

I don't think that becomes an official addition until Richard gets to kill the current Lord of the Dance. :skull:

BOY: You have a lot of titles.

RICHARD: You earn them based on kills.
