What are your favorite guns?
I personally like most of the old stuff, such as the Mauser K98, Mosin Nagant 1891/30, H&K G3, and the PPSh41. Though I rather like some of the modern guns, especially the G36, and mac 11 (1600rpm!) The FN F-2000 is pretty cool too.

When much younger I think before 10 I too was interested in military stuff. Yet not books or relevent reading materials or shows, just the people lining up. Marching and stuff like that.

My Mom was going for the air-force, her rank was Airman (the lowest). My grandfather was in the marines and got out before Vietnam started, he was a Sergeant. Unfortunatley he died at 66 years old from cardiac death, and never took care of it. Anyway, let's get back on subject. I don't know anyone else that was considered the armed forces or not. I am thinking about talking my Mom into going to military school. They'll probably play revellie.

How did your cousin make it into the officer ranks? The only way I can think that he did is that he had long time military experience.

I had a few relatives in the military, though only grand uncles, they were in the luftwaffe. I myself wish to join the army to advance a career of journalism, but the only problem is that my parents would berate me if I did. Sure, I am against war in general, but I still respect the military. If I were to choose my role in the army, I would probably wish to be a standard rifleman, or a support (I rather like the M249)

Heavy Artillery is always fun, especially this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISU-152 :D I like the M14 as well, mainly because I find battle rifles interesting.

yeah.. he has been 'involved' for as long as i can remember.. I'm not sure how he made it i don't see him much, last time i saw him was at his dad funeral a few weeks ago and i didn't want to upset him with my questions... its really cool though because he has aspergers, too. (His is differen't the mine though) he is just not open about it at work.
It's upsetting that we are not closer because when i was younger i remember us being very close.

I'll find out how he made it and tell you... but i am going to wait until a better time.

Edit*
he is undxed but he has many of the traits

Welcome Captain_Brown! I'm new.

The only relative to fight in a war that I am aware of is my great-grand father who fought in the First World War (Meuse-Argonne forest). My grand father also served in the national guard. I was consider signing up for the service but it was really always an impossibility for medical reasons.

I'm more into planes, ships, and tanks then guns. My favorite gun though is the german pistol, the luger. I'm into big cannons, and tanks, and stuff like that. I also like weird military (and other) things.
