Its caused much depression in me. I have always felt a need for proof especially with religion. I used to ask who wrote the Bible but no one could give me any clear answers.

I do very much struggle with the meaning of life, and death. Both of my parents are dead and I would love to think they are in a beautiful place like heaven but my logical brain will not allow me to grasp that possibility.

Well, thanks for sharing about that. It does seem that the combination of taking things literally and wondering about God is a very difficult combination! I never really thought about how literally I take things, but now that I've been reading up on Asperger's, I realized that I people are ALWAYS saying to me, "It was just a joke." It happened today again and I just forced myself to smile instead of doing what I usually do, which is say, "Yeah, I know, but..."

Yes I often find myself saying "yeah but", as well. I tend to over-analyze things whether it be verbal or not. I have periods of appearing to zone out, but I just tend to be thinking very hard.

We share a passion for music. Music is a way of expressing emotions, and it is an amazing gift to those of us who lack empathy.

The whole thing with the first couple of posts sounds a lot more like synesthesia than schizophrenia, but I'm not a doctor. Not sure if I spelled it correctly. And its definitely a thing Aspies can get. I have my own minor sound-related horror story, if you want to hear it.
But hey, I came out of it with perfect-pitch hearing, apparently.
What sorta music are you a fan of? I will not make fun of you. Swear. I like listening to some of everything, including some opera. Do you have any favorite songs?
