What I meant by that is that I can understand serbian fine. I can hear people and understand everything. And read and understand everything. But when I talk... it's nearly caveman talk.... actual speech is hard for me anyways, even in english at times, and the additional translation element is hard for me. I think in Serbian and I dream in Serbian at times... but speaking... it just takes a while.

So, in essence, you speak Serbian with a foreign accent.

Or, perhaps, like people in the old days used to speak "pidgin" English.

Oh definitely. I do have a foreign accent and use of words in Serbian.

Just not necessarily a heavily southern/texan accent.

Are you in Belgrade? That's a very cosmopolitan city with a long intellectual, literary tradition. It's very much unlike much that is stereotypically "Serbian."

Two hours southwest of Belgrade. In a town called Cacak.

There's practically nothing here. :p It used to be more advanced and actually used to be one of the more "with the times" town, but with the economy that's kind of gone away.

I was reading about Moj Pas who rescue dogs in Cacak.

I remembered this because I was giggling like a wee boy at Cacak because I still find poo jokes amusing. :jester:
