Hello. I am the same age as you, and was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder - level 1. If your country uses the DSM-V, then you would be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. If your country doesn't, then they would probably use the ICD-10, which does not have autism spectrum disorder, and is separated in the way that the DSM-IV was. You could ask your psychologist to evaluate you under the ICD-10 if you really want an official diagnosis.

Anyways, I mainly replied because you wanted to find people your age with Aspergers. I was told I have ASD - level 1, which is close enough to Aspergers, according to the psychologist who diagnosed me. I know a lot about my condition, because I have an extensive report about it, so if you want me to tell you exactly my experiences, I can. Glad to meet you, and welcome :D

Bad news: the anxiety doesn't go away; good news: with time you learn to navigate broader contexts without being disabled by it. And establish broader contexts within which you can employ your exceptional skills, and that can make all the difference.

Thank you so much, I do find new situations tough but I think as Aspies we are given intelligence and gifts which make up for our struggles sometimes :D

Hi! Thank you so much for your reply!! :D I live in the UK, and I'm not certain but I think we use the DSM-V. I was going to be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder like you, but I haven't decided whether I want an official diagnosis yet. I think I will talk to my psychologist more about this as it may help me to have one! Do you think it's better to have a diagnosis or not?

I would really like to hear about your experiences, and it's great to meet you too! :D Thank you so much! Wrong planet is such a great place because you can meet people just like you when you may not be able to in real life!
