Do you cheer for the Netherlands football team? I'm half Dutch myself.

Hello everyone,

I'm Filippa, although that is not my real name, I'm 36 years old and I live in the Netherlands.
Since a few years I am 99,9% (or probably just 100%) sure I have a form of autism. I've taken the online tests on several occasions and I always score very high. Since I know this about myself, a lot of things have fallen into place. Things about my youth, about my personality, about my (failure at) relationships, etcetera, etcetera.
I have thought about getting an official diagnosis, but on the other hand I keep thinking "what's the point? I'm 36, and I've 'managed' life so far without the diagnosis". So I am kind of on the fence about that. It's okay the way things are, it's just good to know why I do what I do. Something like that.

I stumbled upon this forum a few weeks ago, and I finally decided to register. It feels like home just reading things. So yeah, I'm happy a place like this exists.

Wow I can relate to a lot, I mean a lot of that.. About the diagnosis, I think the etiquette AS or any other form of autism is not crucial. The important thing, to me, is that it helps you move forward, improve your everyday life (?) and get some things together.
