How many people here are vegetarian?

Why is that?

I am vegetarian but eat eggs. I recently stopped eating diary when I found
out I'm allergic to casein.

I laugh at people who say they are vegan but eat honey.

i need a reason to laugh ?
i must have missed a meeting

people who don't eat eggs and dairy are called vegans
vegetarians eat eggs and dairy in some cases and even fish
(as I do)

i might be wrong but if you fish but not meat, then you are a pescatarian.
obviously most people dont know this word so saying, "i dont eat meat but eat fish" or "im a veggie but eat fish" gets the message accross quicker.

We stopped eating land mammals 4 years ago. Got spooked about farming techiques don't eat certain farmed fish either.

I know fish has mercury and crap in it so I'm kinda stuck in the argument a bit! I just like fish, they agree with me

Vegetarian for 10 years. Was a vegan for 10 months last year. Now Veggie again.

I was for about 7 months. I'm not anymore, but I rarely eat meat now because of my stupid diet.

My 18yr-old daughter suddenly thinks she's a vegetarian, although... she doesn't like vegetables, fish or tofu, and doesn't want to cook... . . She read about animal slaughter and stopped eating meat, but now she's more of a breadatarian /popcornatarian, or something. She's always had serious food/body image issues.

Part of me wants to, but I don't like enough fruits and vegetables to sustain my own life. Life has to eat life to survive. It is the natural order of things. Plants are alive as well. Who's to say they don't have feelings too? Maybe plants communicate on an even higher level than we can comprehend. Some of them can cause humans to hallucinate and do strange things. Makes you think! Our perceptions are limited by our primitive primate brains. Anyway, I don't like how animals are treated in the food industry. We should probably have to capture and kill them ourselves with only our bare hands to make it justifiable on a purely moral level. I have fish as pets. They have personalities, so I never understood believing in not eating "land animals", but eating fish. Not judging, just my opinion. I don't eat fish because I don't like the taste or smell. But they are fun to play with. I admire Vegetarians, as long they aren’t self-righteous about it. My sister is a Vegetarian. She converted after seeing the movie Babe. I don't eat very much meat, and rarely red meat.
