Genes tend to travel in flocks...often external physical structures are indicators of internal cognitive structures...many genetic syndromes have several organs that are effected...
It makes sense that external physical structures would be part and parcel of cognitive types.
There would be concern...read "Panda's Thumb" by Stephen Jay Gould for a complete "treatment" of this topic.
Racism has often equated facial features with "inferiority". Nazi Eugenics was highly based on an "iconic" ideal of a human.."Das Uebermensch"
This is scary stuff... to be able to pick out possible cognitive types by facial features. Internally Referent people were in the Death Camps too... Luckily...there is so much overlap (in features between the type) that Internal reference needs to be established before I can tell what the type may be. Needless to say...and I am sure you sense this...there are many "undx'd" Aspies...escpecially women.
Externally referent culture has an abstract image of what a woman is... that is extended to diagnosis in psychology.
Internally referent women and men are surprisingly similar once the cultural "3-d glasses" are removed. ADDers and Aspies are very similar too
but very different as well.
This is why the IR model predicts that with internal reference, the crossing of cultural boundaries is much more comfortable for us than sticking with our own "role type (NT white male of same age)". The opposite of "birds of a feather" in IR.
In the end...I cannot see superiority or inferiority of cognitive types...just survival strategies that were highly functional over 10,000 years ago...and may or may not be today (I think all cognitive types need to find functional places in the new highly "type intermeshed state based society")
The model hints that Asperger's may be caused by an absorbtion of another subspecies within humanity. Too soon to tell...that will be an undertaking.
The model shows that in Autism...there are almost the same cognitive types as in the "face reading" population.
