Dislocated my elbow but also broke off two fragments that will require surgery, along with a break near my wrist.
I'm right handed - which is now in a sling.
As I'm a writer, I'll have to learn proficiency typing one handed for a while.
I was answering a knock on the door when I stepped on a toy, which flew froward while I flew backward. I tried instinctively to catch myself with one arm as I fell backward, and the rest is history.
Thanks to everyone who responded.

Ouch. I hope you have a complete recovery. Who was at the door?

My neighbor who rushed inside when he heard me calling for help.

One-armed hugs. 8) Get well soon, Kraich!

Thanks.

I am so sorry to hear that. I am in the last stages of healing from a broken ankle that happened just before Christmas. Surgery, immobility, wheelchair, etc.

In regards to pain, unless you are an addict or an alcoholic, opioids are your friend. I took Percocet and lortab for a couple of months and had zero trouble stopping when I was no longer in pain. But I have absolutely no addictive tendencies.

Have you tried the Dragon software to convert speech to words?

Hope you surgery and recovery go smoothly.

Sorry about that, Kratch. Sounds like a nasty injury.

Did you fall? Oh yeah... those darn toys!

I broke my elbow when I was 8. My right wrist when I was 15.

Get better soon, and don’t be embarrassed. At my job, I see people in pretty high places on crutches, slings, etc.

I think I'm getting the splint off next week, then on to physical therapy. I've had hardware surgically installed in my arm, which was actually more painful than breaking my arm.
