I don't know what DM is. The PM's will be right at the bottom of your phone. You have android? Isn't there a pill for that?

Is my rather odd sense of humour about android. DM. Did not know it was direct message. Not exactly sure what a one of them is but I know PM. You click on PM's to see them.

Thank you. Yes, I have a very old phone. I don't like it and it's 5 yrs old. Time to move on and catch up with the rest of humanity!

My phone is tiny. I don't do internet on it. I am old fashioned with phones. I thought android was a new phone?

I think android is an older version. I guess a lot of people have apple phones or newer software or something. I don't know much about that either, lol. I always used to think smart phones were different than androids, then found out they're the same thing!

I used to have a small phone too. It was way after they came out with smartphones, that I finally got one.

I want to use a camera for taking pictutes, a computer for doing computer things and a phone to phone on.
Todays gadgetry just makes things so complicated.

Is like putting a torch on a phone. Why? I was told "It is incase you might need it". If I think I will need a torch, I will carry a torch. Not a phone!

He did? I do think it's a good invention. It's a lot faster than getting out the blender and taking the car apart. I meant overall thinking simpler. Imo, I don't think we need all the newer things. Yes, we can do a lot more, but if we never had them, we wouldn't know we could do more and it wouldn't make a difference. However, seriously, a lot of inventions needed to happen because we are more comfortable with the newer things. But as far as to just have a new $1,200 cell phone every yr, I don't get that. No, not why I haven't caught up with the computers, etc. Lol. Just the idea of newer things we probably could do without. It's just my opinion, I mean nothing against anyone here.

He was working for a factory with a small fleet of large fork lift trucks tat had cabs, and every time the drivers went out of te fa tory with them, tey had to sign in and out without having any ands free to wind down the windows, so he designed these electric windows to be operated with a foot switch on the floor.
The factory opposite was the Aston Martin factory and they saw the electric windows and asked if they could see his design to copy it for use on their cars. Those were the first known car electric windows in UK and Europe.
My Grandad was a developments engineer which was a bit more complicated thqn a designer, as his job was to not only design whatever needed to be made or if it was a product, he would design and build the product, and then design all the jigs and tools or equipment needed for whatever factory it was so they could start making a production of the new products.

Wow! Thanks to your grandad, we really are more comfortable. It's nice to have a cool ride in the car on a nice day just by hitting a button!
