Plans for the future? I'm trying to get my gym to set up a program that'll allow my special needs gymnasts to compete. That's as far as I've gotten.

Why are you here? need support. My sister strongly believes I might have AS (she has a son with AS and we have a lot of similiarities). The more I read about AS, the more my life makes sense. Now what?

Clothing: okay...I tend to wear jeans (if they're relaxed fit) and blouses on my days off (I wear a uniform to work and stay in that all day on my work days)...against my skin I don't like anything but cotton or flannel

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): never been formally diagnosed, my sisters doctor said it sounded right and upon researching i 100% agree

Favorite subjects: um...if u mean school id say detention cuz i spent most of my time there

Year/Grade: dropped out at 17 when i found out i had a kid on the way, got my GED summer of 05 (same yr i woulda graduated)

Books: most books cant hold my attention, id rather see it on the big screen

TV shows/Movies: all superhero movies, the matrix, indiana jones, jackass, the entire buffy the vampire slayer universe, law and order, supernatural, smallville, heroes, leverage, CSI, and most of all THE PUNISHER

Instrument: i played a bit of drums and guitar with my friends in high school, then i broke my arm twice and kinda stopped worrying bout it

Hobbies and Interests: I love music (I perform in a blues band, I'm studying music technology, i also love electroacoustic music and minimalism) I enjoy watching rugby and am a season ticket holder at my local team, Ulster.

Why are you here? For clearification.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was diagnosed with dyspraxia when i was pretty young, about 6 or 7. Aspergers was picked up later when i started having to see psychiatrists on a regular basis. However, I've never been formally assessed for it.

Books: Oooh, I like; 'Hamlet' by Shakespeare, 'The Unconsoled' by Kazuo Ishiguro, 'Snow' by Orhan Pamuk... lots more. I used to read a lot, and i started very young.

TV shows/Movies: I like comedy things, like 'Flight Of The Conchords' and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Those are two very different examples.

Instrument: I play the guitar. My second instrument is my MacBook

Do you like sports? Well, I like rugby. Anyone familiar with dyspraxia won't be surprised that I don't really participate in sports

Family: Parents are still togethjer after 30 years, youngest child, I've an older brother and sister- all NT, although my dad does sometimes strike me as having some AS traits.

Clothing: I'm wearing a cardigan right now... i have a very relaxed dress code.

Job: Full-time music student.

Plans for the future? I want music to be my life- so long as I can find a way to make it pay the rent it will be.

Hobbies and Interests: I've never really understood "hobby." I don't take a casual interest in anything, I doubt anyone reading this does either. Interests, however are very eclectic and focused. I like juggling, evolutionary concepts, knot-tying, riding my bike, doing hand-stands, practicing telling jokes, watching good movies and knowing that I have the power to not watch a bad movie!

Do you like sports? The word "no" does not significantly express the order of magnitude of loathing I feel for sports, both as a spectator or participant.

Plans for the future? I have enough difficulty with the present.

Any comments? I'm not formally diagnosed but Aspie/AutSpec. wasn't really part of the common language the last time I was subjected to formal psych treatment/analysis. I learned about Aspie/AutSpec. a couple years ago. I identified a lot with the diagnostic signs and symptoms. I also tried several of the recommended coping strategies and found that they are very helpful and let me function more smoothly. I don't know if that explicitly marks me as Aspie/Autspec. or simply implies that coping strategies are universal. Either way, people are very confusing and frighten me. In truth, you are welcome to contact me. I won't be upset. I don't always respond. I think I might be very lonely but I'm not sure. Thank you for listening.

Location: I'm in a location in a place next to a spot in an area, not quite here, but not quite there. It's dark, but not quite so dark as to be completely devoid of light, but at the same time not quite normally lighted. It's scary, but not quite so scary as to be terrifying, yet at the same time not completely non-scary. It's almost......spooky. You see a thing, not quite a door, almost a.......window. Favorite subjects: no real particular opinion on school

Year/Grade: 11th, again. (But only on the technicality of missing half a credit, which I now have. I keep my grades up the rest of this marking period, then I'll be in 12th next semester. Keep my grades up then, and I'm out of school on time.)
