I've just seen this. The County Orchestra in which I play regularly plays symphonies - for instance, we've recently done Mahler 1, Sibelius 5 and Dvorak's Symphony 'From the New World' so if yours is of roughly the same difficulty or even a little more difficult, I'm sure we could give it a go if you'd be happy for that to happen ...

You would??

I dont know what to say.

I'll just continue working hard at my work.

Welcome to Wrong Planet, Composer! It is great to see an increasing number of people at Wrong Planet who love classical music.

I am a huge fan & supporter of the classical / orchestral styles, ranging all the way from early music, to Baroque, true "Classical," Romantic, and some contemporary works. I have many favorite composers... too many to count.

I, too, and among those people who can hear music in my head, and "compose" pieces in my mind... now I just wish I could get better educated in music theory and composition.
I hope to hear your work soon, and the best of luck to you in this endeavour.

Thanks.

 I'd regest you to get a private teacher in composition, if that is really, what you burn for.. I got that in an early age and it has helped me a lot.....

I'm a composer too, but work mostly outside classical sphere's. Viva la difference ...
Most of my work has been either with dance and physical theatre, where it varies enourmously - or in popular production, where the money is.

I love to explore sounds in minature, get stuck on tiny elements - lack of excecutive function I suppose. Use computers and ridiculous amounts of software...

What's it like to have composition lessons from an early age? I've been composing since I was 10 but I didn't have lessons until age 20 when I started my music degree.

Hmmmm..

I dont know.. I find it very helpfull and I can quicker get to a musican academi, as he knows the criterias and then can guide you towards that. You always get used to critism of the music and you learn how to argumentate for the music.

Composer,

What instruments do you play? I play organ, piano at concert standard and have done low grade exams in trumpet and French horn - ( I'm better at horn than trumpet.)

hi composer, welcome to wrongplanet.

I wrote classical music when I was younger and still do from time to time. Sometimes I will write music down without even knowing what it sounds like.
