When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was diagnosed Nonverbal Learning Disorder a few years ago, and hope get an official Asperger's diagnosis this year

Favorite subjects: Sociology, Physics, Statistics, Art

Year/Grade: Didn't quite finish college, hope to go back some day

Favorite music: A bit of everything- Film scores, Simon and Garfunkle, They Might be Giants, Manu Chao. I have a strange affinity for Latin Pop music, especially Juanes.

Books: Anything by Malcolm Gladwell or Neil Gaiman. I love all the classic Sci-fi writers like Ray Bradbury and Phillip K. Dick and Ursula Le Guin

TV shows/Movies: Mythbusters, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amelie. I enjoy horror movies and thrillers like The Exorcist and The Shining, but they still scare me half to death

Instrument: Played flute for about 12 years, but haven't for a while.

Family: Just my Mom and Dad me. I think that my aunt and uncle might have Asperger's, but they grew up before it was recognized. My Dad says he is on the "Neurotypical Spectrum."

Year/Grade: I graduated high school in 2004, dropped out of architecture school at the end of the first quarter my freshman year.

Favorite music: I'll listen to anything, and jump from style to style. Right now it's hard bop/modal jazz (think Coltrane, early Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis)

Books: I'm currently reading Steve Jobs' biography, but I mostly read sci-fi, with some intellectual comedy books (especially anything George Carlin wrote).

TV shows: The Adventures of Pete and Pete (if you grew up in the 90s, you'll remember this one), Mad Men, I Love Lucy, Futurama, The Twilight Zone (the original from 1959-64), Monty Python, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

Instrument: I played tenor saxophone in middle school, tried to take up drums in high school but decided I didn't have the motor skills to play.

Do you like sports? I don't care much for physical contact sports, but I do like hitting golf balls at the driving range (not actually playing golf), and bowling.

Family: Mom (also an aspie), Dad (separated from my mom), two older half-sisters, one younger sister.

Clothing: Casual: Jeans, tee shirt, black Vans "authentic" shoes. I've worn the same style of shoe since I was in elementary school, never change it up except for the dress shoes I have to wear to work. I also like button-up flannel shirts, but it's too warm to wear them.

Job: I work as a desktop support technician for a large financial services company. I write scripts, and deploy new hardware to end users. I almost never have to interact with people on a face-to-face basis, so I excel at my job

Plans for the future? Keep my job. Maybe move to New York City someday, but knowing me, I'll never leave San Diego.

How did you find this website? after reading Look me in the Eye for school back in early 2011, I suspected I may have it and began researching Asperger’s, first came across this site about a year and a half ago while doing that

Age: 19... and I already feel old.

Hobbies and Interests: literature, crime and forensic science, writing

Why are you here?: I'm not sure about it. It would be nice to be able to discuss some issues with other autistic people.

When were you diagnosed?: I'm not officially diagnosed. But an expert confirmed that I very likely have AS a month ago. However, I've been suspecting something like it for years.

Favorite subjects: ethics, politics and biology until the teachers changed in all of the classes and, consequentely, all of them got boring. ^^

Year/Grade: Finished 12th grade, starting University soon (I haven't ever been a: more excited; b: more anxious)!

Favorite music: everything and nothing... most musicians or bands have a few songs I like, so I listen to a wide variety of genres. However, there is a lot of rock, alternative rock, nu metal and such in there... but then again there are dubstep titles following Slipknot, following Damien Rice.

Books: The catcher in the rye, the virgin suicides, Harry Potter (it's a childhood classic), a brother's journey, the great Santini... but a lot of stuff. I wouldn't want to list them all. Oh, and I like the 'Walking Dead' graphic novels.

Favorite subjects: In school? English, Maths (until i didnt see a practical use for it), History

Favorite music: Mainly 90s britrock,post grunge rock and classic rock but with odds n ends like prince & tori amos thrown in.

Books: Hard to be specific. Most mutli-book fantasy series (Feist, JRR Martin, Pratchett) but also Neil Gaiman, occasional Stephen King and graphic novels. I also like reading 2nd & 3rd Edition White Wolf RP books
