Ah, hello fellow science people, here's where you were hiding.

Incidentally, ty for mentioning the AQ thing, never heard of it.

Agree: 2,4,5,6,7,12,13,16,18,19,20,23,33,35,39,41,42,43,45: 1 point
Disagree: 1,10,11,15,17,24,25,27,28,29,31,32,36,38,44,48,49: 1 point
Score: 36

That good or bad?

Neither? It simply is.

It's a good explanation for a lot of my experiences, and I can't falsify it as a hypothesis, so I am led to consider it as true until otherwise.

Hi Scientist,

You moved quite a lot. I am a Dutch woman too from the Alblasserwaard. That's in zuid Holland. I live in Ireland though, because the language is easier for me and I feel more at home here. I live in Kilkenny.

;) Quite close to my score (35). And just above average for AS and HFA people. I scored exactly average (at least there's a group of people where I AM average ;) )

Thank you  I don't know, I'm just... myself ;)

OK, nice, I think Ireland is a nice country, with very friendly people, I've been in and around Dublin once. Is Oisin an Irish name? Sounds Irish.

What's so good about being average? 8)

Well, I think it's nice to find people I can relate to.
And besides, I'll never be average in all respects, in any group, so there's always things to stand out with. :)

I was trying to explain just now, yes, I can't accurately self diagnose.

This is true, however by comparing my experiences with diagnosed Aspies such as you guys, well... you seem normal to me.

If I'm not an Aspy, then I'm still alone on Earth, cause the only other "people" I identify with are cats, there's a joke I've heard that cats have Asperger's incidentally, and they're even crazier than I am.

They don't talk well either.

I got 34 on the AQ test, if that's of any interest to anybody. With both the tests the psychologist used, related to AS, I was what an NT would call the wrong side of the 'average' score, for Aspies. Sorry, I don't remember what those tests were called. 8)

Yeah, I heard that joke about cats. Don't know if it's true. Don't know that much about cats. (though we used to own a cat when I was little, but I didn't understand about cats, I was too young, I would just pull her tail and she would scratch me, and then she had to leave because of my asthma).
Self-diagnosis is difficult. That's why we have psychiatrists and psychologists ;)
Do you consider getting diagnosed? Since you might be an aspie, scoring AQ 36.

OK, I read it with interest.

Thank you, well, I just welcomed you in your own thread. You are newer than I am ;) (though you visited WP first; 2 years ago)

Welcome!

You mentioned numbers earlier. I don't really like math, but every since I was a child, I divide numbers into each other when I see them on a digital clock.

For instance: "12:24." 12 goes into 24 twice.

:)
