so asexual means you dont enjoy the act of love making, or are you too shy to initiate and cultivat a sexual relationship?
Being asexual for me means I simply have no sexual urges, period. I never feel that I want sex. No matter how much I adore someone, I would never feel a desire to sleep with them - the idea just produces a puzzled/slightly icky feeling of, "Why would I want to do *that*?" If I was to have a relationship with a guy, simply being able to spend time with him and close to him would be a hundred percent satisfying for me. A hug would be my equivalent of sex.
I can appreciate that people might say, "Well, how do you know whether you're straight/gay/bi if you don't want sex with *anyone*?" but there's still some kind of defining attraction. I can look at another woman and appreciate that she's beautiful, but it's like looking at a statue or a painting - the feeling's not there that I get for a man.
