Hon, random interruptions are the NORM here.

We had our airshow in August. The Snowbirds were flying over the city for 2 days. I love the sound of the jets going over but could do without the aircraft carriers and helicopters. I thought my poor border collie was gonna' get an ulcer. And Kid #3 hid in the basement all weekend. He's with you on the noise factor.

I am going to go, while out and about today, to see if they have any flying aircraft carriers and send you a photo of any I do see, Lauri. How did the class go? Did you survive mentally intact?

Then again, I might just do the laundry. That has a bit more appeal and is less effort.

:P CARGO PLANES!! Yeesh!!

(was I mentally intact before I taught the class?? 8O )

Aha! Didn't get to the storage room, did ya'? Wanna' send the imaginary boyfriend back now? I need my towel hander-over back.

I did so! And he was useless, kept trying to tell me that there had to be a method to unloading the storage locker, while I was pulling out boxes as I came to them. Totally useless, he was.

Betcha Postie'd hold your towel for you.

Hmmm. Blind cats plus shrieking birds with hooked bills

Let me ponder that scenario for a while...

Hey, I have access, I'll have you know, to 328 cats today. Some of 'em have eyes, too!

 Mom doesn't have to know the cats were blind I suppose... Just that there were cats there at some point. After one of them sent me to the ER last year when it bit my finger (all turned out ok, 'cept for the all the swelling ) I wouldn't trust a cat to get that one or the other large birds. There are plenty of small and medium sized birds though. Need something bigger... for those extra feisty parrots.

Ah. That would call for the talents of either "Flaco" or "Big Al".... Flaco is psychotic, and when not on his medication I would think he could take out all your bird problem in one evening. Plus, probably, your mother and some of the walls. Big Al, well, he's really, really big for a housecat.... I think Flaco is just the ticket. (There IS a reason he was relinquished to shelter care, after all!) Lemme know, maybe they can lease him to you or something.

Oooh, like Hitcats for hire? I feel like I should make hit profiles...

Tanya aka Mr T - African Grey, renamed because his original owner didn't know he was a he, tried to break my knuckle
Lucy - African Grey, tries to reach the highest pitch whistle possible, imitates the cough I had when my asthma was bad (quite rude)
Buddy - Amazon, has psychotic screaming fits that can last fifteen minutes or longer before he wears himself out to start again a bit later

etc etc

hmm, sounds expensive though, were talking about 200 birds here... how much does it cost for that kind of hit? (yes, literally, and mom would kill me for talking about it  but oh well, its her business venture and I have to live with it)

hmmm, we were looking for ways to generate revenue for the shelter (we're totally nonprofit, no govmt funds at all). it's an old place, and things keep breaking, leaking, seeping, and catching on fire. need lots of repairs. rent-a-hitcat might just be the thing!

i wish old goomba the cat was still alive. he made hannibal lector look like a piker, he did...

and your mom, how could she fault you for taking in a poor, homeless, orphan cat?

oh, great, the drunks are in fine form tonight. wish i had thought to buy some headphones. at least the music would drown them out a bit. maybe.

Lol, I have to go get some sleep but you might want to give Flaco some extra training with those drunks. It might be nosier for a bit but then you could get some rest too.

Naw, I'd have to clean it up!! And I'm willing to bet the little bloody pawprints up my front steps and into my house would lead the authorities right to us, too. :?

:) I'm pretty sure I could come up with good solutions to those snags but unfortunately my brain is already heading to bed. I would say to use little cat booties but its no fun if they can't use their claws. I know, say they stole your cat for illegal cat fighting! After your cat went psycho and paid them all back he finally wandered home. :D Ok, on that though, G'night.

Thanks for that lovely image, Blessedmom! I printed it out to hang on my fridge. I adore the Ballet. I was once fortunate enough to take lessons, when in my twenties. I only wish I'd kept up. Now I am klutzy again.

I have PHD in Curmudgeonology. Would like a muffin? I think I scared the last one that knocked on the door with, Hello There Sailor.

Survived? I did? WAHOOO!! I did something right, err, or is that a bad thing?

Ohyeah. Watch out for Postie, Sapphix. Especially if he has a roll of duct tape and you haven't had the muffins tested for ... extra special added ingredients.

Sure..... remember that when NAN offers you Kool-aid!! Some pretty special stuff that is!!
