Technically, I think it would be a Tony Award. Academy Awards are for film, Tonys are for stage work.... :wink:

Kinda pissed off at companies that won't ship to a P.O. Box. Ordered a Dizzy Disk Jr. for baby girl and they called and said they won't ship to a P.O. Box. They had the best price for shipping to Alaska so now I have to go search again.
Got the results of the Grant Application back. They'll pay for her "Comfy Sack" 7.5 foot memory foam filled beanbag and shipping for it. ($520.00) and gave us $400.00 in respite care. They would't cover her dizzy disc and other miscellaneous items, which is why I ordered them. I HATE paying shipping to Alaska!! O.K. I'm done now, sorry for the rant. :oops:



Well, at least you got the Comfy Sack? Can you use a neighbor's address to ship to?

20 minutes of hot water beating on the back of my head, 3 tylenol 1's with codeine, and some lunch and I can think again! PHEW!!

Reika, If you contact the post office, they may be able to suggest an alternative way for you to receive the Dizzy Disk.

I don't know ANY of my neighbors well enough to have them do anything like that for me. (And to be blunt I don't want to get to know any of them either so that's not even an option.) Thanks for the thought through. My 20 year old NT daughter said I could just ship it to her address. Shes home w/ the babies all the time anyhow. Just makes me mad they won't ship to a p.o. Box. I pay for it, let me use it for my mailing needs. Why is that so difficult?
Went and got a litter box, litter, food , dishes and a couple toys for the "Borrowed Cat" (Cat stuff is NOT cheap anymore) I may pick him up from Crispy (the cook) tomorrow not exactly sure when. Haven't had a pet for about 10 years. Was so broken-hearted over the death of the last dog they I just don't want to get attached anymore. Thats one reason it's a "Borrowed" cat. Also not sure how my Baby-Angel is gonna do w/ him.

Almost wrote "Do it for the Gipper" popped into my head for some unknown reason. Isn't that sports related or something?

8O OMG!! It's finally happened! One of my sons is bringing a girl home to meet mom, and to have dinner with us. 8O :twisted: Do I dig out the naked baby pictures???

Thanks for the Birthday greetings peoples, I just got home from work and
catching up on the last three or four pages.......
That picture with the "ROAD CLOSED" sign looks like a pyroclastic flow from when Mt. St. Helens
popped her cork back in 1980, real scary looking.
Ah yes that band Lau reminds me of Saturday nights when I'm listening to NPR's
"Thistle & Shamrock". I can listen to Celtic Folk music for about
an hour or so...... One time when I was at my mom's place Upstate NY she played two CDs of "The Chieftains"
back to back.... Ay Oi!! !! !!

I went and had my drivers license renewed this afternoon. Is there any way they can make the pictures any worse? Do they have a special "ugly" camera? :x

I know. I avoid looking at my license unless I absolutely have to.

It's a filter they buy, yeah. Costco and the bank also use it.

Well, if they ship by FedEx, UPS, or DHL, there's the issue of getting that truck to fit into your PO box, not to mention the overtime the driver would be racking up... (Would you believe there's a federal law stating that the Post Orifice isn't allowed to take a shipment like that for you, and put it into your box?)

FedEx, UPS, will ship to their local office, and you can pick it up. They will also deliver to your house, but all they tell employees is no P.O. Boxes. Deep breath, yes the world is, but you can deal with it.
