that is a seriously awesome picture. it looks like a promotional picture for a book jacket or something. is that you?

Yeah, my friend is a fantastic cinematographer, so any credit goes to her. And very astute of you regarding the book cover thing because we went out to shoot photos of me for my young adult book that was published last year. I love the sky in the background...my friend really has a good eye for this sort of thing. Here's another from the same evening.

great pictures! you look quite amazing.

so cool you are an author! funny the picture looked like a book jacket to me. i think i am oversensitive to that. i went to a literature festival at my local library, and when i looked at the book jackets i was very moved by the experience, in a bittersweet way:

literati

meeting authors
at Litfest
hearing debates
in the auditorium
drinking coffee
amongst the literati
handling volumes
at the signing table
reading biographies
on the book jackets

made me realize that
i will never
have occasion
to pose for
a press photograph

Could you or someone explain what is meant by that?

Just curious if there is something about "orangey" that is related to Asperger's, because my favourite colour has always been a very rich reddish orange, which is very rare to find in the world.

I have better pictures, but they're older, and so less representative of what I actually look like. :-/

You immediately reminded me of Kaylee from Firefly (picture below)! :P
