You know, Richie, if you don't want to live trap the mice, and you don't want them coming in your home, you could always adopt a homeless cat from a cat shelter. Not nearly as messy or noisy as dogs, they are also lovely companion animals. Mice and rats do tend to stay out of homes that have feline predators ...

you could use a live trap and then you could put him outside.
and when he comes in again you could catch him again and put him back outside.
or maybe you can put him away from your house, somewhere in a park or the woods or something.
and maybe the someone else could use a live trap, too.
Are we forgetting about the preferred work of most cats?? If there's a cat in the house, mice generally stay away.

I'll have to check with the realty company about my landlord's policy about pets. I know the management company allows them
on some properties but not all.

I'll have to check with the realty company about my landlord's policy about pets. I know the management company allows them
on some properties but not all.

And I went and deleted them both.
Those are good things to do regardless of what is going around. We are currently having a mumps outbreak, and in Toronto they are having problems with children getting ear infections that aren't cleared up with any of the children's antibiotics. Impetigo is also on the rise here. I had never seen a case in all my years working with little people and last year I saw 5 in my dayhome and some in about half of the other dayhomes that were with the agency. Impetigo it a strep infection on the skin. My son got it 4 years ago from a chlorinated swimming pool. He scraped himself and the bacteria got in. My sister-in-law got it from handling money and touching her face. It is really scary!
Does Chuck sleep? I was beginning think he was a not of our world!
If he doesn't have a couch, I'd assume he must have a bed. Unless he hangs upside down on one of those funky contraptions that are made for that. Yea! I bet that's it.
I feel bad about his flooding, too. My hot water tank rusted out last year and flooded most of the basement. It took a long time to dry it out. I was lucky, nothing got wrecked. I can't help thinking about the art work that's gone.
