Thanks for the article link, krex. An infectious-disease model of psychopathology; now wouldn't that turn the received wisdom of our times on its head. Then again... two words. Helicobacter. Pylori.

Perhaps it's not such a farfetched idea after all.

Edit: Hartz, good news about your dad! Feeling well enough to complain - always a good sign. :)

Edit again: My 800 seems so paltry next to the two- and three-Ks being notched up by you colossusususus of the internet discussion forum!

lurking, and reading. . .but haven't a thing to say.
I love all the fanfare of the number of posts!

I was reading about Gov. Sonny Purdue of Georgia in the States, holding a prayer service on the Capitol Steps of that State to 'pray for rain'.

I was just sorta wondering how all that worked. I mean, as Jim Morrison told us "Back there in Seminary School we were told you could petition the Lord with Prayer. Petition the Lord with Prayer? YOU CANNOT PETITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!!"

So. The Lord is thinking " oh, wow, being all omniscient, I didn't realize that this section of the Earth was dryer than usual, I suppose that rain I was going to give Australia will have to wait, because these people over in Georgia need the rain?"

What I am waiting for is when they ask every one to 'cross their fingers and wish" to clean up the San Francisco Bay from the gigantic bunker oil slick that the Chinese capitalists deposited on the American peoples.

Merle

And I'm sure Gromit and Lau had something to do with it, as well. Subversives, those two.
