WOW!! ! It appears that I have a remarkable ability to take threads, slowly lull them into a false sense of security and knock them out cold. It's too early to tell if they are dead or not, most of them still seem to have a pulse, though barely!

It seems it's time to give the ex-cafe a good cleaning since no one is around. And since there is no one around I'll listen to a tune or two.

Hi, Reika!! I was thinking about you this morning. I talked to my friend about fundraising ideas but she has only ever been involved in doing it for organizations and such. The only suggestion she had was for you to take your story to the newspaper or local station and see if they can help you. I know people here have done that and it seems fairly successful. I guess it depends on how public you want to be about her autism and your own AS. :)

Thank you for remembering us Blessed Mom, (always want to shorthand that to BM but restrain myself :D )
I'm pretty open about it. Don't have anything to be ashamed of is how I feel about it. Mines not an official DX anyhow so I have nothing to fear.
I'm such a procrastinator through, it seems I never accomplish anything. I'm supposed to be painting right now, and instead I'm playing in the limerick thread again.
Trying to think if I know anyone in the business. No one springs to mind. Will keep it under consideration through. Hows it going for you there, BTW congrats on your 3000th post :D it was nice that you used it for someone else.

Because I have Crohn's colitis and I have had to discuss it with medical personnel far more often than I care to remember the letters "BM" have a whole different level of discomfort for me than most. You can call me "Mom" everyone else here and in RL does.

Same old, same old. The 2 year old dayhome girls have learned how to fight, physically and verbally. It is funny to watch but keeps me on my toes. I have to run every time I see an outstretched pointer finger headed for the other child's eyeball. 8O  Kid #2 is home with strep throat. I know he could have picked it up anywhere but I can't help having the urge to tell him that it's from kissing his girlfriend. Would it stop him ? I doubt it. I used to see teenage girls as lovely young ladies. Now I see them much the same as I see mice, annoying pests that need to stay away from my house. I always thought having 3 sons would spare me the worry when they were teens. Now I'm chasing uninvited girls away from my door. Ah well. Who doesn't like child induced white hair. :)

Mr. Tambourine Man. I'm celebrating my inner flower child today.

I think you need a good Vitamin B supplement, Nan. It may help the memory and boost your immune system.

Already taking vitamins, Mom. I think it's the mentalpause that's messing with my memory. That and lack of more than two-hours' sleep at a pop. I am remembering things when people bring them up, but having hell remembering on my own. That and nouns seem to have become somewhat elusive. {sigh}

The immune system - that's from burning the candle at both ends all the time. I hope to get to stop that sometime in the next few years.

You like Byrds, you should visit McGuinn's site - mcguinn.com - he does pretty much only folk music these days, but he does it well. Still touring as a one-man show.

Thanks! I do like them. I have them, The Carpenter's and CCR in my mp3 player today. The noise is rather unbearable here. We so want the little people to start talking and then we can't get them to be quiet!

I want to get my daughter an "Autism Service Dog" Nan. I DO think it would help her and I KNOW it would ease my mind of some worry and stress. They run between 6-14 Grand through.
Also still coveting that double trike but was "a good parent" and invested the PFD's this year instead of spending them on the bike. Want to make sure my daughter will be o.k. finiancally if something bad ever happens to me.
And Nan, please allow me to say that from reading your posts all over WP, your mind still seems "Sharp as a tack, Baby"! :D
I could not do what you do BlessedMom. More than 2 or 3 sound sources at the same time and I start weirding out a little. 2 kids talking and you throw in a t.v. and I'd be having a little problem. But "Bless you Mom" for keeping the children safe while their parents work.
All my kids are girls, it sucks in a different way, believe me.

 I suppose I should have added that I enjoy the girls my sons do invite to our home. They are intelligent, helpful girls who are quite down-to-earth. I'm just not ready for the whole thing. Time wasn't supposed to go so fast and soccer was supposed to be more interesting than girls for at least another 2 or 3 years.
