Ah ha!! In Canada cooking over coals or gas is called barbeque, sort of a generic, not specific to any one type of food. I forgot in the States that's grilling, right?
Ah, but steak and barbeque are not the same thing. Steak is meat. Barbeque is a style of cooking it over smoke....
You obviously haven't talked to a steak connoisseur from Alberta. If it isn't still saying "moo" it's over-cooked.

I had a chef come out and tell me he was insulted that I ordered my steak done medium-well. I ordered ribs instead.
