Hey, guys!! Gromit's turning into one of us!! It's the moon what did it! Every time the full moon shines on me, I turn from shy, mild-mannered Gromit into... Well, you know, don't you?
Oh ya! I sure do. I don't know if anyone else does, though!

Holy Hanna!! I'm going to run away from home!! I have kids home from school all day. I'm about ready to sit in a corner and yank out my hair. Kid #1 is loving biology and I've heard all about it, whether I wanted to or not. Kid #2 is still one giant hive. I'm not sure how many times in an hour he can tell me his butt is itchy.
Or what he would like me to about it. The other two are just plain loud. Does anyone have a spare room? Shed? Broom closet?

Just as long as they don't know how to say "MMMMOOOOOOOMMMMMM", it'd be Heaven in comparison.
You seem to be having a lovely time in the Parents' Forum, once again reinforcing why I generally stay away.

You guys always make me laugh. After reading the last couple pages, I am definitely feeling chipper! I received several messages from the rehab where my father is. They are still complaining about him. They must be glad that he is being transferred to a sub-acute facility on Monday. He only cooperates with the Speech Therapist. Maybe she is the only one who doesn't take it personally. 
I can't believe that so many "professionals" allow him to rattle them. They ought to imagine themselves in his situation! I still feel really awful that I can't visit and look after him. Life just doesn't ever turn out the way we want it, does it?

Hi, Hartz. You're doing the best you can. I'm glad to see you're smiling! 
I'm not sure why it is that people who can't tolerate the tough patients work with them. Or why they need to complain. I'm sure they wouldn't be jolly if they were suddenly dependent on other people like he is.
I have my bad days with these little ones but I NEVER let them or their parents know it. It's my job to roll with the punches and smile, no matter how badly the kids get on my nerves. Like today! ("See, I'm smiling.", she says through clenched teeth.)

It's ok. It gives me practice. I have to deal with that kind of personality every day IRL. My dailies tend to be less functionally illiterate, though. One of them is almost incoherent at times. Takes all kinds to make the world go 'round, even the ones with mental or emotional dysfunctions.
Turkey is looking (and smelling) reeeeeally nice. Invasion should commence in an hour. Made stuffing muffins, baked potatos, fresh baby carrots and cranberry dipping sauce to go with it all. We have some petit fours from the New York Bakery for later with coffee. That bakery just is a godsend - I was going to make apples and brown sugar with cinnamon in puff pastry but I got lazy and just zipped over for the petit fours instead. To die for, they are.
