The person whose name we are not mentioning sounded a lot like Aspie Sister. She and her husband, Aspie Brother, caused so much trouble here. Many members were in tears over the many posts she made.
I have UbbyUbbyUbby here for a week for rest and recreation. He is the funniest, happiest boy and he talks and talks and t... I can tell you that therapy is the answer for young aspies. He is much more patient and risk taking than he used to be. When he gets frustrated, which doesn't happen often, he understands that his voice gets a whine in it and avoids a melt down.
I am reading "Look me in the Eye", in which the author says that aspergers is a different way of being. It is the young who will show this to be true.
Hi Hartz!Have fun with your grandson! Whenever I read posts about him I am reminded of my youngest son when he was that age. He can make me laugh faster than anyone else I know.
I read "Look Me In the Eye" in September. I found it quite insightful and was reminded of my father when I read about the practical jokes that he played. Please let us know what you think when you're done. I admit there were some things that were a little hard to imagine really happening, but truth is often stranger than fiction. I enjoyed the book.

The first three books in the Witches, the Night Watch and the Death series are (or possibly were) available as hardback trilogies, for about the same cost as three paperbacks or sometimes less.
Found two of them: Death Trilogy and City Watch Trilogy. If you don't insist on the Discworld, there is also the Bromeliad Trilogy. In theory, it's aimed more at kids, but they are not getting their hands on my copies.
Edit: found the Gods Trilogy as well. Contains Hogfather, which is the fourth book in the Death story line.
For those who liked Marcus Brigstocke, there's a podcast that would be classified as blasphemous by fundamentalists, and sinful because of sexual innuendo. I think of Burning Bush more as a gentle satire.
I do remember you mentioning this in another conversation. Thank you for the link with the order of the books. Finding the trilogies shouldn't be difficult. They aren't condensed at all, are they? For some reason I find condensed books annoying.
When we are done with Discworld, I will definitely check out "Bromeliad". The library didn't have the children's book you told me about, either, so I bought it online. Some library we have!
I'm really hoping to get Kid #1 into something other than Albert Camus. If we have to have one more dinner discussion about his writings...........

Try to stay warm!HA! I just discovered that there are insane people like me who love yarn, spin it themselves and sell it on Etsy. It is beautiful and not expensive. It is pure merino wool and comes in a sock weight. I am in HEAVEN!! !! I know what my Christmas present from Santa will be!! That thought alone should keep me warm for days!!

I love the yarn there(and I dont even knit)but the colors and textures of the raw yarn for spinning are so beautiful...and it helps support a bunch of hippies work "off the grid"...yeah them.(I bet there are very nice to their sheep and lama,probably kiss their sweet noses which puts good karma into the yarn...that would make a good store name..."Good Karma Yarn".....all yarn sources have recieved "love snuggles" before shearing.I was thinking of buying some to make "dreadful hats"...these would be hats with the wool strands "dreaded" and dewn to the back of the hat so it looks like the wearer has dreadlocks...."so urban chic,my dear"
I think I may have had to much coffee?Now,if I could just focus it into getting my materials organized and my "vintage" items listed on Etsy...such a procrastenator.I am getting rid of 1,ooo of my books to make room for my fabric and craft supplies and it is breaking my heart,but....I can't make money reading books.I am becoming a pragmitist.We have a halfprice book store we can sell them to...they dont pay much(then again,I bought them all used).It should help me pay off some of the fabric I just bought.
Thanks for the encouragement ya'll.I think I will follow through with this project(as apposed to the defunt magazine)because I only have to count on myself to so something I love doing.It's really made me giddy to have a new obsession.Even if it takes a while(I heard several weeks to a month,)to make my first sale...it is something to look forward to...Priceless.The little candle of hope in the darkness.

Migraines are a very "methodical" agony, if I purged at the onset of the pain and nausea I would have been "dry-heaving"

It was very white cheese, semi soft. . probably a brie or a camembert. . maybe St Andre?
