I haven't got all the kinks out of it yet. It may deposit you 5 years in advance (in bed with someone you don't know yet, but will marry one year from now. 8O ) I should smite you for this one, dude! - or in the Paleocene amidst a pack of dread arctocyanids (sabertooth weasels) 8O. Sounds better than a new husband!! While both scenarios may seem better than what you are experiencing this week, just remember - the sabertooth weasels and/or bed partner stranger may all be sick with the flu and throwing up too, so then what have you gained? I say stick with the poison you know. (Or vomit, as it were). U iz su funy!!

I may be able to help you there! While doing my daily lawn raking just a while ago, I found a deflated balloon that said "You have received an auspicious message from God!" Underneath this was: http://www.newmessage.org/

This immediately set my mind to whirling. All the other messages I have ever got from God were tied to arrows and shot into trees. Had those all been fakes? Have I been following the advice of Cupid all these years?!? (The ramifications are astounding). Why had God sent me a deflated balloon? Had all the lawsuits involving priests and boys left Him too broke to spring for helium? Is there a cryptic meaning in deflated messages? Anyhoo, it said the message was auspicious, so that's good right?

As I raced to my computer with my deflated promise of an auspicious message from God, it dawned on me that God has a website! 8O

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the website is based in Boulder, Colorado! (It is indeed beautiful, but I didn't know it is heaven! I even visited it once already 25 years ago, so I've already been to heaven! 8O ) Anyhoo, this proved its delivery by God, as how else did it end up in my backyard?!?

Anyhoo, the point of all this is that if you need to register a complaint with the powers that be, this must be the place to do it: http://www.newmessage.org/

Good luck. (be forewarned: it could just be Cupid. Maybe even Gromit.)

My guess is you and Gromit are in cahoots. Some big cosmic plan to drive Mom crazier than she already is. I'll bet Gromit took the chocolate he was going to give me and fed it to the dogs while you, Chuck, fed my kids candy laced with various weird Tennessian viruses.

And the oldest kid's obsession with existentialism was all part of the GRAND plan!

Maybe Gromit, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cahoots_%28album%29 , but I myself have no musical ability. Did you say GRAND plan? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHN_A552 ... re=related .

(BTW, my Tennessee candy is not laced with Hong Wong Fru Vilus. "Tennessee candy" is methamphetamine, thank you very much. ).

Well, it's bedtime for me. I have enjoyed seeing everyone again! Lau - here's to a thousand more years if you want to live them, and to eternity if you don't! :D Hope you've had a great 2 day 59th-into-60th-and-back birthday!

Or I could have the dogs stay at the boarding kennel, ship the kids off to stay with their father and pretend I've never heard of any of them for a week. :D (That is ssoooo not going to happen before summer)

Just don't send the dogs to Krex! I'm sure she has her hands full at that place where she works.
Sorry you're so inundated, Lauri. That sounds terrible. Especially having to deal with vomit - :eew:
Hope it all clears up quickly!

Am feeling sorry for myself, because this is the second week in a row that I've had to cancel my meet-up with the group I've joined. No better, health wise. I think I'll file a complaint with the powers that be, also! Never drank, nor abused drugs, and yet my body is wiped out at 49. Go figure.

Nannarob, hope your eye is better. Having dealt with scary eye problems most of my life, I know how that can be.

:( I wish I could take your troubles away for you so your body and mind would have time to rest. Having fibro makes anything I'm going through look mundane and tiny.

Take Your Pain Away - Eurythmics

If I could find a way
To soothe your troubled mind
Then I would erase your fears
And help you to unwind.
I would ease the burden
That you carry everyday.
Oh - dont you know I'd find a cure
And take your pain away.

Take your pain away...
Take your pain away...

And even though you're far from here
Dont forget I'm always near.
Find comfort in these words I send
In this cold world.

Take your pain away
Take your pain away...

For every aching heart
For every broken soul...

So give up your worries
They'll only do you harm.
There is no need to be concerned
It's just a false alarm.

(chorus repeats...)

Blessed Mom, I knew a woman in Mt Isa who adopted 4 kids and fostered another 4. She would lock the doors to keep the kids out and play hymns on her organ.

Her husband went home to England for a holiday and couldn't contact her by phone. As he walked up the street on his return he got a great shock. No house!

The house had burnt down but she hadn't contacted him.

Hold on there. This too will pass.

:) Thank you for the comforting lyrics. I was just reading through a newcomer's posts, and realized how much worse his situation is to mine. He has a disease that progressed fairly rapidly, and he is now confined to a power chair. At least I get an occasional reprieve from my disability. Wish that next reprieve would hurry up and get here. :x

I missed Lau's birfday party? Not so very nice of me. Soo, since it isn't your birfday, have a very happy un-birthday, to you. I still haven't found your marbles or mine, when I do I'll send them to you.

Lau did it.

(I blow birthday kisses in your general direction)

You are so right. I wish they were still here.
