I do not know how to pronounce any of it - I am just trying to learn how to read and write in different languages to shake the rust off my brain. I took French over 30 years ago, but am very rusty in it as well. If anything I wrote came out correctly, I am shocked.

But I'm trying. We have a lot of new Spanish speaking people here in my community, so I am trying to learn that as well. And one of my great grandfathers spoke Swedish, so I am trying to learn some of it.
I thought I would try to learn a little Dutch to see how it is for you to be writing to us. It's very hard - I am amazed at your ability to pick up languages so well. It is definitely not one of my strong suits. Thought I would try to surprise you and say "Hallo!"

I had to look up every word.

So don't expect me to speak Dutch if ever we meet - although I may give it a try to give you a laugh!
So I should have written: "Ik hoop dat mijn gekscheren u niet heeft beledigd! U bent zeer aardig!"

Thanks!
What is babel fish?
