January thaw here too. Supposed to nice for the next few days, enjoy em while we got em. They sure won't last till spring. A little early for the thaw, maybe we'll get another as well. So hard to do the old sayings anymore, damn weather all over the place, just isn't looking well for the future. They're calling for 61 F tomorrow here and 62 for Tuesday, if those aren't records, they have to be close.

I have never watched a football game, but at the gym today I heard that Tennessee will be playing San Diego today in the playoffs. Figured this would be a good time to trash-talk Nan, except I don't know how. But that never held me back before.

I don't know the names of any of the teams, but I figure Tennessee must either be the 'Possums' or the 'Crackheads', and San Diego is probably either the 'Heat' or the 'Big Wind'.

Anyhoo, I have bought myself a beer, and intend to watch my very first football game this afternoon cheering on the Crackheads!! ! Whoo-Hooo!! ! Go Crackies, Go!

My prediction: when the curtain falls on the 7th inning, my Crackheads will be ahead of Nan's Heat by 6 furlongs (assuming airspeed of 3½ knots, and neglecting the coefficient of gravity).

You need to find the golden book on Neurology and pass it out. It's obvious many could use it.

I think it's time to head back to my closet. Those clinging so tightly to their ghastly ideas is already irritating me. It's kind of like my opinion of Jerry Springer: I've already accepted that the world is comprised of 80% who belong to the Confederacy of Dunces, it doesn't mean I have to actually see it in action on a daily basis. I'm happy in my ignorance. It serves me well. Ack! They leave a bad taste in my mouth. Plus this is my day to let people have it. Hey ZanneMarie, was your encounter with the same person who is spruiking a blog called "Unlearning Aspergers"? If so, that person was asked whether he/she is affiliated with Scientology. Something about the terminology or expressions used. To my knowledge, this was never answered.

I've heard that alibris.com is a good place to look for rare and out-of-print titles.

Janis was a great queen, blessedmom. Thank you for sharing that! It helped knock some of the occasional rust that collects in certain slots in my addled head, and brought some luster back to the blue notes flowing from my bass.
