Thank you. I don't feel so uncomfortable if there is more people in the picture. But taking one where is just me or trying a selfie... I always come out with that face of someone who is very, very uncomfortable (because i actually am) haha

I agree with auntblabby. I have days that my hair is this fresh, nice curl in is and I loooove those days. But it's getting so long now it just lies there, limp. I end up looking more like I don't care when I try to do anything to my hair. :ninja:

that's the first time i've seen pictures of you, and i've seen you around the site for quite a while. :) lookin good.

i sometimes wish i can disable the front facing camera on my phone. when i want to take a pic of something it sometimes is on that mode, and i get a surprise, self-candid glimpse of my face!
i am not comfortable getting my own pic taken i'm better on both sides of the camera. i remember one time, having to actually sign a part of a form, asking not to have my picture taken lol

Yeah, my hair is probably the only part of me (externaly) that I really like because I can maintain it the way I want without too much trouble. Actually, the way I reconize that it is time to go cut it is if I start to spend too much time on it. I hate to need to stay for more than 3~5 minutes in front of the mirror taking care of my hair... I'm not the kind of person who enjoys taking care of appearence too much.
Have you posted your pic here Auntblabby? Are you this sir from your profile picture? I can't help but imagine you as this wise old sir who is also very smart, calm and positive about life.

Haha
I've had a similar situation when I was taking a picture where they make our oficial identification here and after the 7th try (and my brother laughing a lot in the corner of the room) I said to the girl: Yeah, thank you for your efforts but this will not work. Just choose the "less bad" one and let me go home lol

You're both being too critical and I'd hit on you like a mad woman. But I'm not you're average gal.

Sometimes, I think being Asperger's makes me miss those social cues that women are supposed to wait and be approached, so I just trot up to someone and say, "hey, nice shoes, let's play video games together."

Oh, and that front-facing camera comment reminded me of this:

See? Now, don't we feel confident about our own handsome faces?

thank you sir :) I wear my hair in a ponytail so it is relatively trouble-free [except when I have to de-tangle it when washing it in the shower- that "mane and tail" detangler makes the floors deadly-slippery!]. I have pics of me here when my hair was relatively short. I stopped cutting it several years ago. my flowbee automatic hair cutter stopped working so I said to hell with it. I wish, that per your aforementioned estimation, that I was indeed "very smart, calm and positive about life" but I just bide my time from day to day. :alien:

As for wishing to look a certain way, I can't speak for SwissPagan, but I doubt he was born being able to do 100 of anything. I try a lot harder than jealous girls would think. I have been sniped at that I'm lucky I was born this way, but it's not all genetics. I balance my diet, I walk every morning and run every evening, and I have weight exercises I do. I also teach my bordercollie mix tricks and we adventure together. It's hard for me to sit still, so that helps, but moderation in everything is key.

I can speak, as a woman who has favored men and women (tho never at the same time), I do like a little more weight on my partner. Anytime they complain about their weight, it makes them less attractive, because to me confidence is the most attractive quality.

Well, really the whole push up thing just started more a deterrent for bullies through middle and high school (bully don't attack kids who they think will hit back harder) then it just became a soft of habit. 100 push ups is really not that hard. if you can do 20 push ups, then simply break it up into 5 sets of 20 and do it at your own pace. doing 150 push ups in a set I guess is my new Everest right now (100 right now). again, i can suggest dietary tips that actually can help reach goals in addition to exercise.

It's funny you say that, because I started working out to defend myself from bullies, too. But female bullies. Because girls don't fight with their fists (I wish). They fight with their snide remarks about. So the hotter you are, the more they leave you alone. Alas, the guys bother you more.

well, sadly the physical bullies are probably the better ones since you are justified in hitting them back, verbal bullies are something else. still getting stronger in school didn't exactly get me any opposite sex attraction as it wear, but highschool is such a caste system, I was already one of the bottom rungs anyway. probably why I hung out with the other foreign kids.

He looks more meso-ecto-morph. I'm like that. Only female. We get named after objects like fruits and time pieces. Who wants to look like an hour glass anyhow? Reminds me of a spider. :skull:

I think an interest in cooking is a great way to become independent! I know plenty of NT guys who can't even microwave dinner without burning it.

Sorry. Neuro-Typical. It's an abbreviation (this is why I dislike them) I've seen used on the forums and in things I've read about Asperger's. I guess it's the politically correct, short hand way to say, someone who uses their brain in a way that isn't Asperger's or another autistic manner.

well, its mapped one way of a another. I kinda wish Simon Baron Cohen's research was available for study when I was in school, it would have helped to know more of how I functioned earlier in life. I guess public schools arn't structured to know what to do with kids with different inclinations.... maybe that was why I was so interested in the Finnish approach to education when i heard about it.
