Maybe you're an Aspie/ADD mix like me. :P (I'm thinking I've got a little terrier mixed in mine as well).

You "think" you have a little terrier mixed in with yours. I'd vouch for that! :D

It's -30C and I have a child who should have been home 2 hours ago who isn't home yet. He called to tell me he missed the bus, I told him I can't come get him because the van won't start and there would be another bus at the school in 20 minutes. That was at 3:30. The bus only takes a half hour to get here so he should have been home at least an hour ago. My mom is out searching for him. I'm not sure if I should hug him and then ground him or smack him and then ground him. And it's always the NT!!

My rant for the day: I tore my car handle off this morning ...again. The next vehicle I get - no matter what it is ...my first priority (above fuel economy, price, size, power, or anything else) is that it have solid steel door handles. I have broken off all of the internal door handles, and all of the outside door handles at least once. I know they are trying to reduce weight - but it seems that you would install a material stronger than plastic for a fikkin' door handle!! !

Found him. He broke up with his girlfriend and was talking to friends. I couldn't really be mad when I saw him at the door with red-rimmed eyes. Ah, the life of a teen.

Thank you, Lelia! I had really started wondering if I should contact the police because of the extreme cold. I am a worrier.

Dang! I had forgotten about that #@*#$*@& day! I shall rename it "Teenage Angst Day". Or the day Lauri locked her son away 'til he's 40.

Just don't lock em in a closet. I hear it's hell coming out of the closet. Especially by the time you're 40.

Prius. No door handles, just an electronic key fob*. And... push-button ignition. No keys, nothing to break. Such a great toy. (Hmmm.. ok well there ARE interior door handles*, but they're fairly sturdy.)

*and a recessed latch...

It's Lemon's turn.

THEN its your turn. I have gotten where I am in life because I learned to imitate NT behavior to a degree, and the polly wanna crackah routine helps me in the workplace. This does NOT mean I am an NT, or a half-arse Aspie, and I don't necessarily LIKE crackers.

Yay Lemon!

No shame in worrying about your children. Glad he's safe.

oooh, now you get to hold the door shut with baling wire and duct tape. put a fridge out on your porch and a couple of rusty old cars up on blocks in your yard, and you've got it!

[cue dueling banjos for the hillbillyboy]

PS almost everything is plastic now, chuck. maybe you should get a convertable you can just jump into and out of?
