isn't it interesting that a woman can come right out and FLAUNT a need for height compensation?

I'm not sure it is exclusively gender based. Just think of how common it is for a Doberman to be scared of spiders and how frequently one sees rhinocerotes festooned with Pekinese and Chihuahua.

You claimed at one time you lurked for several months before making your first post.

By the way a few more posts and you will be on page 0ne of the member list as you are now listed as #51 in total posts.

Not just "several" months... eight.

Join date June 18th, 2006. First post Feb 7th, 2007, 2nd&3rd Feb 18th, fourteen on the 19th, and so on.

So, I'm just coming up to the anniversary of my first post, and, realistically, my post average has been 10 per day for the year.

A refreshing change from my husband who averages 2 words/day.

And... just in case anyone else thinks it sounds good... I have this new Greasemonkey script.

When people quote people quoting people quoting people... it just shows the outermost quote. The nested ones are all "folded" away. Each "whoever wrote:" gets followed by a "..." that you can click on to collapse/expand the quotes.

E.g. the post above, where I quoted Richie quoting me... Richie's quote was visible, but I had a "..." to click on for the option to fold it away. My inner quote defaulted to folded up, with the "..." there so I could unfold it.

Anyway, I think I like it. Of course, you'll need to be using Firefox (or Seamonkey) to have it. Then you add the Greasemonkey extension, and you have access to the 14,409 scripts currently available.

This script was "phpBB2.x Collapse Quotes" http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9582, but I had to slightly doctor its match string (to "*modules.php*file=viewtopic*") to get it to work on here.

Which puts me in mind of the Encyclopedia Britannica article, written by Robert Heinlein, about physicist Paul Dirac:
Quote:
His students have coined a new unit of measure, the dirac, which is one word per light-year.
