^^^interesting purple vest you're wearing I liked 'em all a lot but first among equals was "a grand day out." that was the one where they built a rocket ship and sailed to the moon to obtain some moon cheese.

it's a scarf that was knit for me. very warm and comforting.

i could do with some moon cheese right about now.

a magic box of wonders passed down to me from some older cousins. my personal favorite of the five dedicated vidya systems i own.

has been spinning and reading discs reliably for over 10 years, rather unlike their backwards compatible successors, those things are meant to last. the holes are controller ports and the white card is a (flash?) memory stick used for storing save data (but has unfortunately become corrupted).

does not play audio CDs or DVDs fortunately due to them sticking with the proprietary minidisc format.

I like the minidisc format, shame it went obsolete on us. I have a high-MD [1 gig] machine as well as a 4-channel data minidisc machine used for cross-track overdubbing home studio.

i only recently noticed that the smaller "ring" on certain tray loading disc drives was for minidiscs.

it may have been but the only small discs i have are the gamecube discs that are the same size (8cm) and have the same capacity, those fit quite snugly. and i don't think the device i was talking about plays audio cd.

i am certain they don't play laserdisc. i can say that much.
