was diagnosed in the 5th grade, that was at the worst school in orange county Laveta elementary. I went to that school after moving and it was a bad experience for me changing so much so 4th grade was hell, the 5th grade was worse since i had a teacher who knew full well about my syndrome and took every opportunity to belittle me.

Middle school i had "matured" in a way kinda like a tailors callus (gets cut so much it hardens and becomes stronger)

In high school i was ignored instead of being made fun of. i enjoyed it at first until it started geting to me. Many of the things kids were doing i was missing out on. My biggest panic happened when prom came, I didn't have to go to since I am a junior but My biggest fear is what will happen next year and that depresses me.

Sorry for being a downer so here is some good things.

I have used my ability of becoming "obsessive" to focus on something and excel at it.
I have mostly good grades so far.
I observe things differently and have used that to my advantage.

Hey, I'm new too, but yeah, welcome anyway! School used to be really bad for me too, when I first moved to secondary school (the first three years are the same as middle school I think) I only stayed for a couple of months because people were bulling me and because this was before i'd been diagnosed none of the teachers wanted to listen. so in the end I was home educated for nearlly two years.

I've been back at school for nearly three years now, and I'm part way through my GCSE's. I think that my ability to remember details really easily and to focus on things I care about have helped me a lot with that. My grades are usually pretty good too. your not the only one who worrys about the future, I go into the sixth form next year and every time I think about it I start panicking. Try not to let it get you down though, just remember that even if it seems scary and impossible now it will work out eventually. (Wish I always remembered that.)

I'm also new, but welcome. Fear not, high school is not an indicator of the real world.
