Hi all.
I've known about WrongPlanet.net for a while now, but only just got around to joining. I tend to procrastinate like that *sweatdrop* But here I am! I'm 21, reside in Surrey in the UK, and was diagnosed with AS when I was 14. I never went through with statementing at the time, although in retrospect I wish I had, it would have made life a lot easier.
A bit about me - I dropped out of highschool when I was 14, due to bullying and sensory difficulties, and did my GCSEs a year early at Draper's House, part of the Hospital and Individual Tuition Service. I then spent 4 years literally housebound due to developing a severe anxiety disorder where I couldn't even leave the house without suffering a massive panic attack. I finally pulled myself together and tried to get back into studying, but failed many attempts to get started. I then got a job in a library, which was the perfect enviroment for me, and I worked there for a year, until they transfered me to the Central Library, which I was unable to deal with. I left the job, but started college using the money I'd earned over that year, and am now studying a Univerity Access Course at Lambeth College in Stockwell, London. It's a LOCN Access Multimedia, and the 6 Universities I've applied for are all for videogame development and design. Here's hoping I get in! So far, I'm doing well :) Will find out soon I guess!
So that leads me on to interests... I love technology, videogames, web design/Flash animation/graphics design etc. I love to draw, write, and roleplay.
My current HUGE obsession is Sonic the Hedgehog. I collect Sonic merchandise (I have about £3000 worth of Sonic stuff), and love to talk about Sonic non-stop :P I would post some pictures of my Sonic stuff collection, but I fear this post is long enough... maybe there's a thread elsewhere for members to show off their collections; if not, I'll make one myself! Hoorah.
